- try google and download this firmware version - AC18_kf_V15.03.3.7(4031)
- upgrade to this FW in tenda page
- after the upgrade, u will be allow to upgrade to merlin FW via tenda page.

then, just follow the instructions to restore nvram, reboot, etc...

Hi, I just got my ac18 today and flashed to Koolshare X7.9

I got an issue here with DDNS, is the asus ddns working?
I got a popup msg said cannot connect to internet.

Prior to ac18, I was using WS880 with Xwrt merlin and I do not face issue with Asus DDNS.

Simplest step would be:

Method 1 (recommended)
1) Login to Tenda webpage with LAN cable and update to firmware AC18_kf_V15.03.3.7 (4031) AC18.

2) After reboot, login to tenda webpage and this time update Merlin firmware. I used 378.56_2 to start with me. Not sure can direct goto X7.9.

3) After restart login to merlin webpage (default should be 192.168.1.1 or. 0.1) or router.asus.com.
Goto administration-> Restore/Save/Upload Setting - > factory restore.

4) you can start configure your router from here or update X7.9.

I see my pc using archer t9e pcie ac1900 card but spec din write mimo I assume its not compatible then,
but let say all my wife kids and device use 2.4ghz and my pc alone use 5ghz will my ping be smooth and uninterrupted?
