Does anyone have any solution for router rebooting problem? My router somehow keeps dropping connection when I'm testing speedtest on my phone. Another issue is I can't get wireless speed beyond 200mbps even though I'm on 500, although the issue could come from my phone. I've tested "downloading" huge files with my pc using ethernet connection and I didn't have any problem really.

QUOTE(pisces1529 @ Oct 6 2018, 06:14 PM) Wifi has limitation around 200-300mbps on 5Ghz, only wired can get full speed. You may try on other wireless device. Are you using tenda firmware or Merlin? Tenda. Will Merlin firmware fix that rebooting issue? Edit: Ah I think I know what the issue is. It's the heat. My room is too damn hot lol. I put my fan towards it and it no longer drops the connection during speedtest. This post has been edited by afroboy: Oct 6 2018, 07:53 PM

I'm only getting 56+ mbps on 2.4 ghz and 250+ mbps on 5 ghz. Tested on honor 10. Pretty weird speed on 2.4 ghz, my old router could get to 98 mbps consistently.

I've tried using multiple bandwidths and channels and I still haven't got result better than 200+ mbps on 5ghz, if anything I got worse results lol. It's either my phone doesn't have good wifi antenna or the router itself is not that good. I really don't want to risk bricking my router by installing custom firmware.

I watched a 4k 60fps youtube video on chrome and somehow the connection on my pc died with "the default gateway not available" error but the wifi was fine. Tested again on microsoft edge and my connection was fine throughout the whole video, no drop whatsoever. Don't know if this is caused by router or 100% cpu usage.

Wait, tenda still honors the warranty even though we bricked it while flashing custom firmware ? I might try it then.

Ah I'm too naive for this kind of thing lol. Still nothing can be detected right? They won't know from the typical 192.168.0.1 login page I would assume.
