Which overseas country are u referring to? If is UK then I think u better get one in Malaysia. Cause u can bargain and get some free stuff. But in uk. They say one is one no discount or bargain.( May be depend on ur skill. I never get any cheaper.) So I'm suffering now.

We lack input. To name a few, where do you study and what laptop is in your mind. If apple mac is an option and you happen to study in the states or U.K then you might want to enjoy the student rebate. Needless to say the additional spec that you might get.

Warranty is not an issue as long as the manufacturer provide worldwide warranty such as Toshiba and of course Apple.

yes, get a laptop oversea if it's alienware. tongue.gif
anyway, the choice is up to you. but imho, if you are studying/working in oversea for quite a long time, buying at the country where you are studying and working should be ok! no need to worry about getting international warranty.

Laptops and other electrical stuffs in the UK and even in Australia are generally much more expensive than in Malaysia due to their GST and other taxes. I reckon you better get one in Malaysia and make sure you get yourself some international warranty.

if u can;t get much feedback in Ireland then it is better to just get a unit here ...i am thinking that it is better for you to make up ur mind on which laptop or at least the brand u wan ..to futher narrow your choices first ...

major brand like dell, toshiba and ibm/lenovo will do.

my best bet will be dell because they practice no distributorship world wide. your service still back 2 back to dell direct.

For crying out loud, Dell has an assembly plant there, just like Malaysia.

I'd advise TS to check out the common price of laptops in Ireland. I'd assume TS is headed for Dublin, but would like TS to confirm this. In general, European goods are much more expensive than Malaysia's.

Should TS is headed for Dublin, the service centers of various international brands should be easily available. And it is advisable to extend your warranty to the maximum for a peace of your mind. And since TS is headed for Ireland, try to stick with internationally renowned brands, Dell, HP, Lenovo, just to name a few.

What are you trying to do here, reinforce my point or what? If so, would you mind adding some constructive comments instead of a one liner?

This post of mine is a spamming post just to ask you, are you trying to spam or what?
