What do you wish to know more? I called Sg Buloh before for information but in the end went for Putrajaya because less traffic jam from my place. I remember the pricing are the same or about the same for all hospitals offering FPP.

You can just call to find out more. I remember the pricing are same for Sg Buloh and Putrajaya, although putrajaya did put out a new price list somewhere around Dec18/Jan19.

I remember:
c section - 1K
operation room/labour room charges - RM250 per hour
normal birth - I think it's RM600

Actually for FPP, the most expensive part is the room charges. RM300 for executive room regardless they give you single or double room. Other types of room, husband is not allowed to stay.

Thanks for the detailed info on the pricing.. Im considering Sg Buloh as im staying near to it, didn't think of Selayang as i heard not as good.. How about the specialists? How and where can i find out more on which specialist is good and experienced in Sg Buloh? Appreciate if anyone who delivered there before share some experience on the delivery process..

I first went to the Pusat Bersalin Berisiko Rendah Presint 8, cause want to save money hahaha. After an overnight there, baby didnt want to come out, so they brought me to Putrajaya Hospital and performed delivery there. Had to pay premium price lah, but didn't have to book. Maybe just lucky have empty bed at that time perhaps smile.gif

I understand Putrajaya has FPP doctors on duty 24/7 - read it here in lowyat in one of the thread.

Sg Buloh not too sure

The person in charge at the registration will call the selected FPP Dr to be there during the delivery.

I was considering Putrajaya as well but considering the distance to travel in event of emergency, stick with Selayang as it is nearby for us as well.

I have friends when to Putrajaya and Selayang for the FPP package. They did not suggest me to be there as slightly below their expection. I.e for Putrajaya, might be my friend bad luck as the FPP Dr he had selected unable to be there during his wife delivery. Ended up a new Dr and brought some intern/MO there during the delivery. As for Selayang, my friend ok but might be due to complications. Opted for natural birth but ended up operations. Details I did not ask much as quite sensitive

I booked Dr Thow for FPP@ Sungai Buloh. Overall very good as the facilities over there are quite new. He is also a cool & nice guy. Googled about him before the booked. He was invited to a 8TV TV programme.
As far as I know based on March info. as I know, He is fully booked until June. Can be check via whatapps Heard he is an expert in Caesarean section/operation delivery. Epidural is also available upon request with reasonable price.

I chose the FPP programme instead of private one as indirectly to support government. I had some bad exp with a tropic*na related gynae / checkup @ Kepong. Too cincai and money oriented.

Besides, I also had some experience that all private hospital will normally "pass" the patients to gov hospital when there is high risk case with reason insufficient utility/manpower etc . Real case for my family side. Private hospital starting with K....

Total charge is about rm2700++. I managed to get a single room as Dr Thow seems know there is a empty single room and assisted me somehow. Therefore I can overnight there.
As for the payment procedures , I waited for two FPP and overall took me about 30-45min as the cashier needs to go to verify etc
For the checkup is about RM 125 per time. All the payment can be using credit card.

Mine also first child. smile.gif But I will recommend you to book early. They are using whatapps for the booking. Quite convenient. During my wife check up in March. Dr thow seems fully booked until July or August. There is a signboard indicated there.

for those still looking for hospital Putrajaya, i would say luckily we are FPP patient, during the registration i do see a lot of the pregnant lady after checkup if its not too urgent they will refer her to another hospital to deliver the baby. Nurses are very patient to explain and guide me & my wife. we manage meet Dr. Hazim 2 times during monthly checkup, he is extremely experienced but due to he is the head of O&G department. he always very busy, a lot of the mother choose him as specialist actually have never meet him before. The other specialists are very experienced & nice as well. Dr. Sapie helped my wife do the emergency c-sec due to baby poop in the tummy while the vagina only opened 3cm. Dr did explain the situation clearly let us choose between can wait another 4 hours to observe since the baby heartbeat is still strong or do emergency c-sec.

we did not choose the executive room cos it cost rm300 per night, they give us 2 person shared room which cost rm120 per night. total my wife stay there for 3 days 2 night. overall we have a very good experience. really thanks to all the nurses and doctor who involved.

total for deliver baby RM3360

Hi, can I check with you, if I make appointment with dr Azmi for c-Sec delivery. During the delivery day, will Dr Azmi attend to my c-Sec or other doctor will attend? Is it ok to only meet Dr Azmi for a few times check (like 2-3 times only) before go for c Sec delivery?

i believe it depends on availability of Dr Azmi as well, for in my case i only meet my specialist 2 times and my wife admitted to hospital for labour d.

Hello, want to ask you if we were to opt in for executive room, does the medical fee or any other fee will be executive price also? or normal price medical fee and only executive room is more expensive.

thanks in advance.

It is natural delivery. My charges is slightly higher as my wife warded around 5am++ so there is slighly higher charge than the normal working hours. But all is good and smooth delivery. blush.gif. My fren wife C-sec but FPP Selayang Hospital about RM 5k~.

Typically FPP about half the cost of private but we can choose the same specialist from the beginning which i think same as private.

Besides, vaccination needs to go back KK nowadays. So from pink book (mother book) to blue book (baby) will be fully utilize. I only proceed to take the private clinic to get the vaccination that is not provided by KK/gov.

Guys, ive read all the posts and still abit confused.

Is the below correct?

1. Pregnant > Go KK to obtain pink book.
2. Go choice of Gov hospital that offers FFP
3. Schedule appointments with Choice above
4. Pay deposit at certain week to ensure "spot"
5. Delivery is based on "luck" on getting which doctor.
6. If ward room full on that day, will be referred to another hospital.

is this accurate for FFP in gov hospital?

If you are taking FPP, you will get to choose the doctor you want. It is like in a specialist treatment but in a government hospital. Your point 5 and 6 is only applicable to non FPP patient.
