This took less time than expected – Xiaomi is pushing out a new version of the Oreo update for the Mi A1. That update was pulled on Friday after the discovery of several nasty bugs.
The new update reportedly resolves the Bluetooth battery drain, random reboots and other issues, it also restores the gesture functionality of the fingerprint reader. Also included in this update is the January security patch. The original update packed the December patch.
If you already installed the defective update, the new version is a small 89MB download. If you’re still on Nougat, then it’s a more substantial 1,112MB update.
today, for the 1st time i enable bluetooth. and the phone hang for couple of minutes. then when the phone back responsive, i can use the bluetooth just fine. i hope to get the Jan security patch asap as I'm sure there is something wrong with the bluetooth functionality. i'm currently on Oreo Dec security patch. welcome to android world bro. If you are on Android Oreo; for simple file management, u can just use Files (stock app which is pre-installed). Calc app also is already pre-installed. i believe you are still in Nougat. might just wait as Oreo update might be available again any time soon.I just got my phone today..
