Updated successfully to Oreo. All good so far, not missing any WhatsApp notifications as reported by some earlier. However I did set it to Not Optimized in the battery option, just in case

QUOTE(mosalah11 @ Jan 3 2018, 07:41 PM) Just got the update myself today. UI definitely more responsive, that's the main thing i noticed. Haven't found any major bugs so far, fingers crossed. but i went to xda forum.. many bugs are found though. such a long list of bugs. camera, icons, notifications settings, fingerprint sensor gesture and battery draining issues camera - black screen for few secs after open camera. bad focus icons - location icons remains on status bar even after turning off. fingerprint sensor - swipe down gesture gone if it wasn't enable on nougat. using fp sensor to unlock cause the phone to restart battery draining issues - users complain that battery drain faster compared to nougat version. Battery only shows bluetooth draining battery while other apps are all at 0% minor ones are the DND wording has been cut in half. lol and also the notification of fb messenger running in background. will have 2 notification, 1 is messenger running in background, another 1 is messenger is allowed to open over other apps. anybody can confirm this? QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Jan 3 2018, 04:14 PM) actually u will never know how long can a phone lasts.. LOL in term of hardware or software aspect.. if a moderate hardware maybe can lasts u about 1.5~2y without laggy.. a flagship maybe can lasts u 3~5 years.. will use the phone mostly for gps, heavy browsing and youtube. Also will be using 2 apps at once. If i buy this phone i am hoping it can be smooth for at least 3 years, possible???but sometime u have hardware failure in 2/3 years time.. always recommend to buy & enjoy now.. so far this is android one phone which xiaomi & google collaborate and work together.. google will support software update as per promised. software part - cleared.. hardware part - snapdragon 625, one of popular mid range chipset.. probably may refer more article and choose the best suit smartphone for yourself.. probably u may list down your priority features for your usage there are some features in flagship but seldom people will use it like NFC, DSEX, LDAC, NFC Payment type, note 8 pen, MHL, and etc.. look for what u want and get it.. some of colleagues buy for Apple / top flagship smartphone, but in the end use for social media apps, after 2 years, cannot ady.. change again.. |
