Incidentally do any of you own resin kits? I remember trying out one years ago and messing up the eyes, swore off them. Recently saw a set of suiseiseki and souseiseki figures at e2046 and am so tempted to try again.


Amazing looking right? In fact since I started figures and dropped gunpla my tools have been in cold storage. But the eyes! I can't handle fine stuff like that. Considering the dearth of good rozen maiden figures these would be such a nice reboot of building and painting. Sigh...

Kureha > all other shining series characters. The pose, the expression, the OMFGWTHBBQ costume... Nuff said.

Take out and ice cube and rub it on her! You can even make her bunny costume something unique looking by 'drawing' with the ice cube.

The AtSai Bunny Haruhi is very well made, I can vouch for that, being the first figure I ever got. The finescenery haruhi is based on a garage kit from one of the WHFs I think. I don't really like the face on that sculpt, doesn't really look like haruhi.

Extra benefit of AtSai Haruhi: Its 1/6, its big!

If you check e2046, they offer prepainting services for some of their kits, but at a whooping cost. I checked out one figure and it was USD54.54 unasembled, and USD140 completed. Not cheap! Resin kits require alot of work (cleaning flash, sanding, puttying, pinning... list goes on) but USD90 for commision? Wah...

Aiks... no wonder I was sneezing just now... miloy gave me bad karma hahaha. Yeah I have alter's Louise. I have a thing for tsundere characters, next up is Max Fact. Shana.

BTW does anyone know where to get doll eyes? Sort of like these: http://www.volks.co.jp/en/dollfie/products/eye/index.html. Would like to get locally before contemplating online orders.

I can imagine buying PVCs on a students budget. You'll have to built a tent in the park in your university, catch the fishes in the nearby sewers, and collect twigs for firewood.

You can place your PVCs around your sleeping bag tho so I guess its not so bad.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Even Yuki recieved a 2nd run, and from what I heard there's still some leftover stock from the first release. Compared to Mikuru who disappeared off the shelves. Business practice in the PVC world sure is odd.

Hmm, shuraki box 2 isn't listed as a limited first run edition on the gsc website, unlike box 1 that's listed as a 5000 unit first run version. Hopefully stock won't be so limited like the first one. Anyway what makes the first box special is that its supposed to be a commemorative edition for the first figure in a new series. The other figures I guess we can wait patiently to get.

Ah snap, with my lousy japanese I didn't quite see it was 'commemorative price' for the first box. No wonder its so cheap.

I'm a sucker for completing series. If I can't get everything or if the company isn't going to release a whole set of figures from a particular show, I tend to skip it. With that in mind I'll see if I can get mishiro before contemplating meifong.

I'm not too worried about mishiro. I have high hopes of getting one from the first batch through XL shop, and if not, then I can wait for the reissue. Or PM be@rbrick and let him work his magic. Heh.

GSC is targetting completionist junkies like me. But then again shuraki 1-4 are all pretty decent figures, so I guess getting the whole set isn't really a bad thing, except for the hit to the wallet. I just hope it'll be possible to actually get everyone of them, since they all seem to get preordered so quickly. 1st batch is ftw, 2nd batch is

I really love Shuffel, the girls are all so cute. Too bad this is a free gift that comes with one of the games. There really is a dearth of Shuffle figures out there, the only series available just isn't pretty enough to warrant me getting them. There's this amazing resin kit of Asa senpai, hopefully Max Fact. will see the light and PVC-lize it, then make PVCs of the other girls as well.

Actually if e2046 recasted this I'd get it ASAP. Hmm maybe its time to start a petition there.
