I went to change my iphone x battery at midvalley this morning and they mention that as I am still under warranty, they will send to Apple to change for the battery ( 7 workings day). My battery health is at 93% and the staff still told that it is FOC.

wei.... i just bought iphone 8.. and just use it for 2 months.... my battery health is showing 99%.... what is this...

can i get change?.. is it still consider FOC or need to pay?

what is the procedure if i opt for change of battery replacnemnt?... need to leave my phone for several days..?.. and will my iphone still covered for water and dust resistant.. ?

For phones that are out of warranty, if you send in to them to diagnose and then don't want them to fix the problem after they have identified it, you'll have to pay a nominal diagnostic fee, RM50 or RM80 if I remember correctly. But I have no idea if that applies to this battery replacement program.

asking here regarding battery changing at mac city, they quote me rm121 all in for battery replacemen for ip6+ that i ok. but what is weird is they need me to backup all my data because they will format my phone. is this the procedure to replace iphone battery?

Just went to Switch JB to replace my iphone x battery.

But didnt succeed because they said the promotion doesnt include device still in warranty period.

And the guy said that need to fork Rm 500++ for haptic engine replacement if changing battery for iphone x.

who to report? want to report switch sc also, before changing battery took 1 full day to diagnose my battery, never mention heating issue, after change they say got heating issue, want me wait 7 working days.. really bad service...

This is expected as Malaysians are known to be very last minute haha.

Don't think battery replacement has anything to do with quality though. It's just replacing the battery, workmanship should be pretty standard.

I asked machine for appointment and they redirect me to apple site, which I made an appointment there at klcc.

I also asked through the site their customer service told me even at 94% my iPhone 8 Plus is eligible for the replacement, and if warranty is still available then it would be totally free of charge, can anyone confirm?

My iPhone X is @ 93% now. Wondering the same question whether its eligible or not.

Well that's not what the live chat staff told me, I told him expressly 93% and he assures me it's eligible... Not sure if he meant only for apple store and not aasp

yup that what they told me when i asked but my unit is replacement unit so they warrant the whole phone for 3 months..it stated in the receipt:  3 month warranty
as i read in tech paper somewhere in the internet..they only consider defective battery if drop below 70% but..1 month 3% and if a linear chart plotted 70% will come less then a year and of course no more warranty at that time...ironically my replaced phone still hold 73% after 3 years of heavy usage but maybe..or hopefully the drop will slow in time

Just wanted to ask if they will update our phone to latest iOS when we send in for battery replacement?

Definitely worth it if you don't plan to change your phone in the next two years.

Can i know any rules in the replacement program that stopping us to do another change as the battery i changed at mac city early this year are not holding charge anymore.
