6-cell can do you 3.2 hours, max, if you turn down settings here and there.

9-cell can do up to 7 hours for web surfing and all. i think i did 3 hours of CS over wireless and full brightness too.

This is all on a t5600+geforce 7400. You get better times on the 945gm.

yeah but its dead, and dell reinspects laptops and certifies they're working before allowing extensions on warranty....
i think.
hmmm. well, can you get a 2nd hand one? for less than the price of a fix.

hey, guess what, my laptop died due to gpu failure too...

initially they wanted me to pay to extend the warranty then only they would fix, but i called the 2nd time using the xps premier support line

turns out that the m1210 IS covered by an extended nvidia warranty, so they replaced my mobo today without a single cent being charged to me biggrin.gif

how's your XPS?...still working great?... hmm.gif
owh?...about the covered by an extended nvidia warranty, how does that take place?...
and about the GPU failure how did it occur?...hoped you don't mind to share the problem...
are selling a secondhand or new 9-cell battery?... hmm.gif
*
working fine, but to get the nvidia coverage you have to call the xps support line and diagnose the problem with them, not normal support. THe normal techies will just tell you "we need to extend the warranty first"

kay guise. I found M1210 mobos going for rm850, the one with the geforce 7400 chip. Gimme a PM if you need em! I'll do installation for a small fee if you need it.

Dell is doing this for RM1500+ including labor -.-

btw the dell warranties has increased in price by almost double, RM1300 for 1 year extension compared with RM1500 for 3 years previously

edit: RM800 for the mobo nao biggrin.gif
