Guys, need some advice. Can we use our Malaysian Credit Card to purchase Disneyland Tokyo tickets through the official Disney Tokyo website ? No matter what credit card i use, it seems to say "credit card no authorize".
*
You can buy online from Klook. They will send u a pdf to print as entrance ticket (with QR code)

If you prefer to buy offline, you can buy it from JTB Malaysia.

QUOTE(talfred @ Dec 11 2018, 02:29 PM)
Hi all,

How strict are hotels with # of guest bookings? I have made bookings through OTA for 1 adult but for a sizable room as I'll be travelling with my wife i.e. (Twin Room or Double Room).

Hotels booked:
1. Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku
2. JR Kyushu Blossom Shinjuku

I read that Japan charges based on # of guest instead of hotel room. Though I'm not trying to squeeze 2 person into a single-bed room, will this be an issue? Any experiences to share?
*
Just send an email to the hotels and tell them honestly

Yes, some Japan hotels/ryokans charges on per pax basis especially when it included meals.

Even without meals, I can also notice that some hotels do charge lower rates for single-traveller vs. 2-travellers, even though the room is the same (double or twin).

So again, best checked with the hotel management

So I have booked the below:

Occupancy - 1 Adult
Room Type - Twin Bed

Yes, so it is a little strange in the sense that you book for 1 Adult, but get a room with 2 beds. If you price the same twin-room for 2 Adults then the price goes up, hence I booked it as 1 Adult.

These bookings have no meals or breakfast
*
This is already clearly trying to game their system and circumvent the hotel policy

So don't be surprise if they also came down strict on your bookings when you checked in

anyone bought disney ticket through the website ?

i wanted to buy and print however no printer at home

anyone got experience buying from website, save the  eticket as pdf then reprint somewhere?

skeptical as when i try to purchase, it asks me to make sure printer connected before buying
*
I have no experience buying from Disney website, but i think you at least can save as pdf to reprint. or have the pdf sent to your email

I bought from Klook, which they sent me pdf to print.

Anyway, the only important thing in the self-print is just the QR code. Usually got 4 similar QR codes at the 4 corner, so no matter how you fold the paper, you'll still get the QR code at the end.

One of Klook ticket options are self-print pdf. Maybe it’s not available now? Quite curious since I just used Klook in April trip this year

Hi all.

Im going to tokyo city next month. And since this is first time I experience winter, seeking your advice on this;

1) Which one better? Wearing a multiple sheet of cloth + winter jacket is better OR should I go for thermal wear + a shirt + winter cloth. ( for going out)

2) Method of transportation from haneda airport to my airbnb (Kamata station) which better?
*Use taxi all the way (which cost around 2000-5000 yen)
**airport limousine bus>kamata station
*** or use all train (keikyu>kamata station)
Because my flight arrive on 1030pm, +/- after clearance, should be around 11-1130pm japan time.
Do some research and found that the train close late on weekends
*
I think airport limousine bus will be your best choice.

Train exact schedule you can check using Hyperdia

Last but no least, should you really need to take taxi, you can download this app called 'Japan Taxi'. Basically GrabTaxi for Japan. Got 500yen coupon for first time user (payment other than Cash). If you register now, the coupon can last till end-Jan before expiring

Would love to get recommendations on the railpass. Since i'll be in tokyo most of the time, i cant seems to find the railpass dedicated to tokyo only. Those that i found are intercities or doesnt cover tokyo. Been looking at klook already btw
*
Don’t really need to buy those. Most of the time, it doesn’t pay off or very minimal savings.

The only pass that is worthwhile is Fuji-Hakone pass if you intend to visit Hakone and Mount Fuji area.

If your idea of fun and excitement is to stand in the queue for hours for popular attractions then sure, weekends are better than weekdays.

Hi guys, i'm traveling to Japan with my family on April and hope to get some insight/suggestion from you guys smile.gif

1. Can i still witness cherry blossom during mid April? My research seems indicate that the bloom usually occur during end of march to early april

2. Is it recommended to tackle Tokyo+Osaka+Nara+Kyoto in 10 days?

My plan is as follow, not sure if it would be too tiring as i'm leading a group of 8 with 4 seniors (50+)

Day1-4
Flight to Tokyo
Check in Hotel in Tokyo
Travel around Tokyo for 4 days

Day 5-6 to Osaka via shinkansen (JR pass activation)
Check in hotel in Osaka
Spend the day around Osaka

Day 7 to Nara via JR Railway from Osaka (Day Trip)
Travel around Nara
Return to Osaka via shinkansen after dinner

Day 8 to Kyoto via shinkansen from Osaka (Day Trip)
Travel around Kyoto
Return to Osaka via shinkansen after dinner

Day 9 to Kyoto via shinkansen from Osaka (Day Trip)
Travel the rest of Kyoto till around 3PM
Return to Osaka for dinner via shinkansen

Day 10
Checkout at 2PM
Linger around Osaka for a while and then shinkansen back to tokyo for flight
can stop for shopping at some tokyo station before heading to haneda airport
Is this feasible?  bruce.gif

Appreciate if anyone could share their itenary with me for reference as well  biggrin.gif  like detailed one if have hehe, pm me
*
Not need Japan Rail Pass. Save your money

Just use the 10-day to cover Tokyo area extensively and 1-2 sidetrips like Hakone/Mount Fuji, Kamakura or Nikko

Mid April - you can still see pockets of cherry blossom tree but obviously not as nice as full bloom

osaka , kyoto and tokyo all covered for shinkansen
only nara doesn't

QUOTE(cckthechun @ Jan 3 2019, 05:06 PM)
yup, which is very good IMO, can consider it as part of osaka and travel it as day trip  biggrin.gif
*
This is where experience comes in.

To take Shinkansen, you need to go Shin-Osaka station <---not centrally located

That's why Osaka-Kyoto, ppl tends to take local train such as JR Kyoto, Hankyu or Keihan railways

Ppl normally stay around Namba area in Osaka. Can easily take Keihan railways which will land at a station within walking distance to Gion

What's the best package for internet wifi access for Japan travel for about 10 days?

Multiple users, lots of data, cheap.

Is the Digi package good?

https://new.digi.com.my/roaming/roaming-pass

Or are Japanese ones better?

Thanks
