Hi Guys, any recommendation Onsen in Takayama? My wife found the stay in Takayama, but unfortunately is hostel. But the rating is very high at around 9.3.

I believe Takayama is the only place that I can experience Onsen as we will be staying there for 3 days during trip to Shinrakawago and Shin-hotaka.

Yeah, my wife also mentioned this to me yesterday night. She said those good ones are usually outskirt and required car to reach, thus she asked me to check again whether it is really necessary to get onsen stay or not. I believe she has been scared by the cost of the Hotel Tateyama in Alpine Route and she is very determined to cut cost by getting cheaper stay in other area. 
I think.... I am fine..... with naked. Just that my mindset must be set it right.  Not sure whether there is such onsen privately outside with my and my wife together or not. But I believe it will not be cheap, because it's "private"

Just booked return ticket for 2 pax totaling RM1558 excluding luggage on January to Osaka kansai.

Is this consider a good deal ? Btw there is only one flight to osaka which is from afternoon 2 and reach around 10 at night.

i will be heading from tokyo to kyoto, hoping to stop by mount fuji in between. I am flexible where I can stay an extra night in either tokyo, kyoto or near mt fuji.

any suggestions how to get between this places and where to stay?

hi sifus, does anyone have any recommendation for day trips to visit Mt Fuji and Hakone? I found 1 in Klook, however was kinda confused. The "Mount Fuji and Hakone Day Trip" requested me to select my drop-off point, does that mean no transportation to return will be provided? Does anyone have any experience with this particular trip?

Or maybe can recommend some other better ones? thanks!

Guys I have question on getting the right train pass. I'll be visiting Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and going to Shirakawago as well. I read that there's this pass called JR West Kansai Hokuriku Area pass that can cover all these. Is it worth getting this pass, or should I get a cheaper pass that only covers Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara, and buy separate train ticket to Kanazawa (and then bus to Shirakawago)? Or are there other options?

I will be there for 9 days. My initial plan was to get the 7 days west kansai hokuriku pass and then get osaka amazing pass for the remaining 2 days as we will just be in osaka area that time. is this the best option in terms of cost?

Guys.. do u know for ANA airlines econmy.. baggage allowance is 23kg x1 or 23kg x 2?

erm...i asked ANA before on this, and this was their reply (this is for my flight to LA though, not sure to japan any difference:

Upon checking the reservation each passenger is allowed maximum 2 pieces of luggage each weighing no more than 23 kg

i structured my questions as such in simple english:

I have a question on luggage allowance:
- maximum 2 pieces with each piece weighing maximum 23kg ?

OR

- maximum 2 pieces with total weight of 23kg ?

and i did bring more than 23kg per luggage

now will too late to buy flight for sakura season(last week of march 2019)?
