Futsal of course. I don't have that much of stamina to run big field, man! Even in futsal, sometimes I don't run much.

Ya, sometimes I don't like those who played as a defender, when the team attacks, he runs up but when opposition counter, he is not fast enough to be back... biggrin.gif

Midfielder sure have to run up down up down... or not how the team going to function? Full backs also need to push up. Forwards run a lot at the last third of the field. Only centre backs have it easier.

But if you play against a good side, the central defenders will be tortured. If you play as a midfielder, you can relax a bit. If you don't want to run a lot, you can always pass the ball to others. But being a defenders you have to track down your opponent's striker.

do you see scholes running from his own penatly box to the other chasing the ball ??

what i mean is unneccesarily chasing the ball ... dont waste ur energy trying to chase down the ball when its not your job to do it . eg . central midfielder trying to win the ball from opponent winger and then trying to dribble near enough to opponents goal to shoot ...

Gatusso ran 6.8km before he got subbed off.

Even for amateurs like us, I think we are obligated to run for our team if we play as midfielders. Or else takkan leave it to 1 or 2 fellas to track the run of the opponents?

Football is the best, why? Because, the pitch is a lot bigger, plus, it looks better to play in such a BIG field unlike playing in a small court...

midfielders should nto be obligated to track the run of strikers. maybe defensive midfielders but then the defensive midfielders should not have much attacking duties to carry out except passing the ball to relevant positions

its and 11 vs 11 game ... if midfielders were to follow example the winger ... what does the fullback do ?

unless of course your team got a red card ... then too bad ahahha

Depends if your team got a guy can hold up the ball a not, then can slow down the pace of the game.
