the mazda lantis is still one of the best car around from 90's. cheap and reliable. am still keeping my lantis 1.8m. bought it 2nd hand when i just started working. now let my uncle use and maintain it. no major problem except finding the throttle body in halfcut shop and those door / windows problem. sadly. need to replace the whole door stock car handle very well. btw, there is another mazda thread here. check out lantis club at http://www.my323f.net/ i forgotten my password there ever since i let my uncle use the car babisotong liked this post

Hi everyone! Probably I will get one Lantis, but still looking for a nice one. To share with you guys here, previously I just saw one Lantis daily parking under the LRT station nearby Amcorp Mall. A nice Lantis which still with the original Mazda sport rim. It's maroon colour and manual transmission, number plate WEM 7422, perhaps it's the one among the members here?

QUOTE(MIE=WEB @ Nov 5 2010, 02:15 PM) nah! spare part for lantis is getting rare. and for the frameless top panel door, they comes in 1 package. not by parts. you need to find the whole door unit from halfcut shop. a whole door unit used to cost around 350 bucks at halfcut shop in klang. but that was more than 4 years ago. kinda ridiculous. hence the reason i sold my lantis. |

about the door window, just have to change the window bushes.
i have a friend doing this, just pm me and i will give you his numbers. below rm300 can fix all your 4 windows into mint conditions. and parts for mazda (in halfcut shop) is not that expensive lol, i always get the price much cheaper than honda and mitsu. |

QUOTE(syafickham @ Jun 5 2014, 09:52 AM) Yup worth every penny.. many cheap ones for sale now because owners upgrading to bigger ones.. mostly reluctant sale for all..Probabaly one of the most balanced cars on the road now...great drive too.. parts not impossible to get as it shares decent amount of parts from the Kia Spectra and Ford. So many spare part shops still carry things. Normally main issue will be a shaky window due to the frameless nature of this car but then again its an easy fix with around rm 50-60 for the 1 door with new PU bushes. You can go FB look for Lantis Club Malaysia. Hope this is of help |

QUOTE(syafickham @ Jun 5 2014, 09:52 AM) if you love it, why not?now very cheap. most important is to replace the door rubber seal 1st then you're good to go. but i notice more Mazda Astina than Mazda Lantis on the road, why ar ? ( Mazda Astina onwer here ) |

QUOTE(babisotong @ Feb 9 2024, 12:31 PM) up old thread, was looking around for lantis V6 / b8 210 turbo.. anyone? huhu Nice nice. I like the design too and was looking at the V6 and b8 210. Nice peppy car. in dilema .. freaking in love with the car design. Reason why i forgo is because the windows are frameless and prone to rattles unless all bushes are good condition. Hard to find parts. Im using it daily and at penang nobody uses lantis, so mechanics will try n error a lot when repairing...my assumptions la |
