That's the problem. Have to see just what pricing the new 750s comes in.

There should be 3 bikes based on the new 750. The Hornet, the Transalp and maybe a Hawk 7. I'm hoping they would do the 750 version of the NT1100 also....which is something I am looking for. Market is still short of more middleweight sport tourers, with the Triumph tiger sport and the CFmoto 650GT being the only ones here.

If only Honda will do an NT750 based on that Transalp. Lowered suspension, 17" wheels... And my money will be on that.

But honda could have differentiated it a bit more.. it just looks like a taller cb500x.

was eagerly waiting for it.

but honda didn't introduce a baby african twin. they introduced a taller cb500x puke.gif

no DCT
no cruise control
no adjustable windshield
non adjustable suspension (preload only is still not fully adjustable)
no heated grips
no heated seat
a dash that is closer resembling cb500x than an african twin.

the vstrom 800 has better spec.

But it's much lighter than the 800DE.

I can ignore most of that shortcomings....except for cruise control and adjustable suspension.

Pipe dream anyway. The 850mm seat on the Transalp and vstrom is too high for me without lowering.

the 800de has factory skid plate, handguard, bolted subframe, bigger tank, crash bars. the transalp has none of those.
add in those aftermarket it should differ like +10kg on the 800de.

still acceptable to me.

They will bring it in. Just a question on how they will price it. The hornet is supposed to undercut the CB650R price point.

The CB650R will sit between the Hornet and the Transalp in pricing, if Honda doesn't discontinue that bike.

If they don't, the Suzuki will have the middle weight market to itself with the new GSX-8s. And given just how competitive Suzuki prices are.....

Yamaha is left with the long in the tooth MT07.

The bigger question is, will honda make enough of them to send some our way. Right now big wing sucks balls when it comes to bike allocation with long waiting lists. While big wing Thailand has no such issues.

Yamaha is kinda weird in malaysia.
People love the bike.

But Yamaha seem to not care about their big bike line up here in malaysia.
The official Yamaha service center only cater up to 250cc bike only.

Kawasaki now team up with modenas
Suzuki already built up online spares part program like they did with kawasaki.
Honda got big wing big bike
Even ducati triumph Royal Enfield already builds after sale service center here in malaysia.

They only supported by a 3rd party shop
Yamaha seem to proud to set up a proper service center for their bike. Is hong leong this stupid

Suzuki and honda just eat up the market share in malaysia. Kinda sad
