Some says the rear seat has no buzzer but has only light up at meter. Need to further test on it & on the other hand, the rear seat is a bit spooky if one is driving alone outstation at night, you know what i mean hihi
*
Based on what I gather, there are 3 seatbelts shown on the dashboard - to show they are not buckled up. So, if you have passengers behind and all 3 seatbelt diagrams are lighted, it means they are not buckled up. The indicator goes off accordingly when the seat belts are buckled up. Yes, it's manual observation but better than nothing.

Does anyone notice rotating sound after you open the back bonnet (After you release the button)? Even new car in the showroom in the showroom have this sound too. Is this normal?
*
This should be normal for those electrically actuated unlocking catch.

Wanna share my first service/inspection with perodua. Suggested me to add 3 items.. Around RM32 after GST. One of the item which cost RM24 is the injector cleaner. Anyone also added that? Any better?

Complained about the kruk kruk sound, they said HQ is testing if adding the rubber thing to spring works or not, so they are still waiting bulletin whether will add it on all myvis in coming service.

They also changed the USB socket on driver's seat whether you complain or not to a more durable ones. Thumbs up for that. Works done around an hour. Pretty smooth.
*
QUOTE(yvliew @ Jan 16 2018, 10:35 AM)
Yes I can choose not to add but then I'm not a cheapskate that can't afford RM30. So just add those.

Also had free nasi lemak and coffee while waiting.
*
If you are not a cheapskate who cannot afford RM30, why do you still ask for feedback on the injector cleaner?

At 1000km, I would give the injector cleaner a skip even if it was offered to me at super cheapskate price of RM5 with GST. To me, whether something is worth spending money on depends on whether it is needed.

There is a flap which is closed when you switch to recirculation mode. In older cars, the flap becomes loose due to disintegrating or hardening, or the actuator/linkage is broken.

Recirc mode has hidden danger, as it reduces O2 content and increases CO2 content especially in long-distance driving.
In many Continental cars in the past, the aircon defaults to fresh mode (allows outside air in). Maybe due to this danger.

If we compare with 1.5H with 1.3A which one is better? First car buyer here.
*
Of course 1.5H is better. Who can argue with having 6 airbags? It all boils down to your budget.

I can't find the gen 2 thread so I'll have to ask here - myvi 1.5 2016, my washer fluid is coming out for my windscreen but not my back windscreen. Any idea? It's from the same tank AFAIK so don't really understand.
*
When was the last time you managed to spray water at the back windscreen?
Possible reasons:
1. Most likely the lubang is plugged. Can try to poke with needle.
2. The water supply tube is kinked
3. Water supply tube is disconnected somewhere - see if the washer pump sounds differently when you activate for the front and back. Or see if you can find any water leaking, or whether the reservoir level drops when you activate the rear washer.

sent it in, strange, they just refilled the tank and it works now. Ask them to explain why since back and front uses same tank (verified with them and also user manual) and yet... she just said tak tau, foreman refill dan check skrg suda ok. lol. Maybe i had only a little water left in the tank and there wasn't enough pressure to bring it back.
*
Doh....I'd expected you to check that first.

Nope didn't affect my vision as the VLT for my 2nd layer is low
*
Understand about the VLT. How about distortion and clarity? Some films give you wavy lines.

That's about the same FC that I get with 90% highway, travelling speed at 110-120 km/h.

Talking about speed, did anyone ever compare the speed reading from meter against GPS reading like waze? I found that when the meter is at 110 km/h, waze only showing around 103-105 km/h.
*
From my experience, speed recorded using GPS is always 5-10km/h higher than our speedometer (on stock tyres).

Few possible reasons:

1. speedo takes reading with assumption tyres at certain pressure/diameter. Lower pressure gives smaller diameter, higher speed and tyres with softer sidewall will have smaller diameter.

2. as tyres wear down, the diameter becomes smaller, giving higher speed readings

3. GPS takes some time to communicate (satellite and GPSr)

4. Perhaps car manufacturers do not wish to create any dispute when drivers kena speed ticket, so they err on the higher side?

So only for those who haven't received their cars?

That should be the case, shouldn't it? If BN won and increased GST to 10%, would you expect them to demand payment from all existing owners?

Mind to share when and what model you order?

I'm going to sign agreement tmrw for 1.5 adv, but no 3k rebate due to it is only for car register between 18th to 31st May, wonder car register from 1st June onward will get discount or rebate or not since GST become 0%.
*
Cars will be cheaper after June 1st due to no SST yet.
Please help to ask: if book Adv on 1 June, what happens if SST is introduced before you collect your car? Will you need to top up?

Actually just a question out of my curiosity
Myvi advance : 55,300.00 - 3114 = RM52k
Honda city 1.5S : 75,930 - 7282 = RM68k

Why wanna wait for car for myvi adv?
Only 16k diff, u can get a more reliable honda city?
*
1. City is not necessarily more reliable than Myvi
2. RM16k is a lot of money for myvi buyers. Don't forget to add in insurance premium and servicing costs which should be more costly for City
3. Myvi has 6 airbags
4. Myvi has lower FC
5. Some people prefer smaller car
6. Why not top up a bit for City V spec?

Beg to differ. My City can go 500km easily city driving with occasional heavy footing wheras Myvi has only scraped 350km with light footing 100% of the time.
*
Is yours the new Myvi or old model?

How many km/L are you getting for your City?
Using xxxkm per tank is not accurate.

Actually I do think he might have a point.

This car is kinda low from what I experienced.

Previously driving a Persona, very rarely to have car bottom hitting bumps issue (maybe once in 3 years only?)

But after driving this new Myvi for 2 months, already experienced twice, both happened when carrying 4 passengers.

What to do? Just make sure to drive slowly through bumps when carrying lots of passengers or load.
*
you can do this

Buy BMW?  laugh.gif

Of course I know what that is. Yeah tried that but not so convenient so I just go super slow when carry passengers over bumps.

QUOTE(ginodave @ May 24 2018, 04:41 PM)
I dont think its not that critical for new myvi compared to 2011 model city. ground clearance was utter low.
I always used to take 45 deg approach on bumps when using city.

Surely cannot be worse than Wira?
