Ar... The Stonehenge... So good you able to see them personally and shoot them... wub.gif
These are splendid... Any closer shots???
*
Yea. Went to see Stonehenge twice in two years. tongue.gif Thanks for the comment. I do have closer shots but I need some time to process them. Will post them up when done. Too much backlog and work. sweat.gif

Great shot on the Stonehenge. Good exposure.

Thanks for the comment. notworthy.gif

Here are some windmill pictures from Zaanse Schans, Holland. It is somewhere near Amsterdam. A traditional village solely for tourism purpose.

The windmill shots a little bit tilted but the stonehenge shot is nice, good composition and clean exposure.

i only able to see fake version of this scenery in shenzen..lol

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Jul 26 2007, 04:35 AM)
You ought to keep the horzontal plane straight for the last 2 pictures.
*
Sorry about the windmills being tilted. They were shot at an angle on a bridge overlooking the village with a focal length of about 300mm (35mm equivalent). That's the best that I can do. smile.gif

That's why in taking a good photo, only 50% has been completed by pressing the shutter. The other 50% is post process. If you think it's not good enough, and you know people will notice it, correct it before posting up into this forum. It's too easy to correct an angle, isn't it?
*
From the way I see it, post process is only 25% max of making a great picture. People who depends too much on post processing just don't make the cut of being a good photographer. Do you see film photographers depending on post processing but can also produce great pictures?

From the way I see it, not all photos must be aligned horizontally. It all depends on how the picture is presented. For the windmills' case, I personally think there is no problem with presenting the windmills in that manner. Where's the creativity when all landscape pictures that you take are horizontally aligned?

Stonehenge is always a wonderful place to go and visit.

Here is a picture of a lakeside hill in Interlaken, Switzerland.

Not really wide wide my camera. That shot is at its widest of 38mm (35mm equivalent). Just bought a CPL. Will retake UK cloud pictures when the weather is nice. rclxm9.gif

More Amsterdam, The Netherlands photos.

The National Monument

Red Light District in the day. The pink elephant to Amsterdam is what the white bunny is to USA.

The flower market. Thousands of flower buds and seeds for sale throughout the street.

Coffeeshops. Not like our typical kopitiams. The only public legal place in Amsterdam to get your fix of Spacecakes and any type of marijuana smokes and food.

Hope you like this small tour of Amsterdam. I will travel there again end of this month and hope to capture more of Amsterdam on photos than I did the last time.

Coming soon will be more pictures of Switzerland. Thanks for viewing. biggrin.gif

e..no offence...i think u use the wrong metering/photo metry?
the last n 2nd last like not so sharp?
or ISO value too low?
*
I don't think there is a thing like ISO value too low. The lower ISO value that you can use will be the better, right? Only bump up the ISO as the last resort for my case. I'm already using multi-metering for these pictures. Using spot will be worse and will blowout the sky even more. sweat.gif

QUOTE(diwant @ Aug 2 2007, 09:02 AM)
travel photography is not easy as it seems..if normal walk- walk and point shoot is easy, but to capture a scenery that lasts forever in memory is never easy...
*
Agree with diwant. The last 4 pictures are only normal walk-walk travel shots. The 2 previous ones are better composed and captured as I have the time and no one was in the way. There was also that "feeling" when composing the shots. laugh.gif

Difficult to crop the bottom roof as cropping that will reveal another roof and it will never end until the whole town is cropped off. laugh.gif

A closer view of a glacier capped mountain. This picture was taken at about 2500m above sea level with outside temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. The road where this picture was taken is called Sustenstrasse in Switzerland.

btw..not sure how  to say...too bright? not bright enough?
u got same place but with diff exposure time?

argh...i went there day time..so very bright...picture comwe out normal aje...

aba...this is not the real london bridge..the real one is near it..that one the real name baru london bridge..but its just a normal modern bridge...this one dunno call what tower bridge i thin...forgot liao...
*
That bridge is called Tower Bridge and not London Bridge. This bridge is the iconic bridge in London. London Bridge is quite plain and simple about a few hundreds meters away. I have other shots of Tower Bridge during day time and also when the draw bridge is opened for ships to go through. Will upload those later.

Ah such nice pictures, reminds me when I was traveling through Europe and the UK last time. It's a pity that during that time, I wasn't into photography so most of the nice scenery landscapes were just simply taken sad.gif
*
Then you should go there again with your camera. brows.gif

There are a lot of "traffic" if shooting Tower Bridge from other bridges. sweat.gif That's why I chose to shoot it from the esplanade.
