since Monday (9th April), I have been getting less pings. I usually non stop get pings and do not have to wait like 10~20 mins for next ping, even in MP block. Too many influx of new drivers?

I understand most uber customers use credit card and are from overseas/overseas companies and are now not able to use for grab as their foreign credit card is not recognized by grab.

Wait time is 5 mins for normal rider, 3 mins for GrabShare. More than that, just cancel. Opportunity cost wasted.
There are certain situations where you would want to wait, but generally those times are set by Grab where they won't penalize you. (no cancel fees like Uber though)
When I arrive, I usually just text them the default "Hello I'm Here." and note on the exact time of that text. if 5 mins is up from this time, I just cancel as passenger no show and go.

Read that 2 weeks in a row CR >10% will kena suspended?

Got 12.5% CR Last week.

How do I check driver / rider cancellation rate without manually calculating in the history?

CR>10% is for both driver+rider cancellation?

I just noticed, HG incentives reduced? MP period 5pm block changed to UP already and few more changed to reduce the incentive.

Cause of the influx of driver and not much influx of riders?

i avoid klcc and bukit bintang like a plague. fucking waste time stuck in jam 2 hour collect rm5

my mum who takes grab/uber to work and back everyday for a year told me her usual fares are RM 6. Since April 16, her fares using grab is RM 8~9.

Distance to and back is 4.3km.

Our driver incentives started reducing this week onwards.

I guess it's starting.

Only selected drivers for now. I waited 5 mins and cancel for passenger no show, CR went up still. Tried today.

This feature released for all drivers end of this month only?

wtf? I'm barely getting any pings 8pm onwards on a Friday night. I have 3 short pings in 8pm~10.30pm only

This influx of driver and no increase in rider since the merger sucks.

Funniest ride ever for me happened today
Ping came in kepong to KL, grabpay, promo, grabshare

Picked customer.
Customer: can drive fast? I in a hurry.
Me: I will try, I still have to follow the traffic law.
Customer: ok (smiling)

ping came in
Kepong to KL same area
Receive text message from customer2: you have another passenger in your car?
Me: yes
Customer2 canceled ride.

Ping came in, same pick up and destination
After accepted, saw same name
Customer2 quietly waited

Customer1 asked me: you got another job to pick up?
Me: yes
Customer1: can you cancel on him? I need to go to my destination fast.
Me: can't, will affect my performance. Why did you ask for grabshare then?
Customer1: I don't know, my grab app got problem

After pick up customer2, car was quiet like in exam hall.
In my heart, I'm laughing at these 2 cheapskate riders trying to save some money using grab share.😂😂

my CR till Friday was 11%, start Saturday, accepted all, drove for 14 hours and my CR went to 15.9% due to passenger simply cancel and all no show (I didn't even cancel once from my own personal reason). I cancel after 5 mins at pick up point for no show.

All reported. Lets see then.

The no show CR definitely increase my CR alot. The feature is not for all drivers yet as I read is only available at end of April.

Yes, weekdays pick and choose small trips for MP blocks to maximize income through incentive and repair it during non peak hours.

Just started driving for this week today. 0 cancellation, only 1 canceled by rider. My CR remained 0%. Anyone noticed this change this week?

- first time went in. Basically normal stuff like high CR, low DR, low AR.
- lots on gaming the system like "no accept" multi times and then accept big fare trip (System will detect your pattern), passenger asked to cancel and reported, modified apps, self book, booking with friends at a static location etc.
- They shared on new feature auto accept
- They shared new feature passenger no show, won't increase your CR anymore. (Was told applied already since 25th April.

For passenger no show (Which i was here for anyway because of high CR when passenger no show)
They shared on how to use it.

my way:
reach pup, press "I'm here", send a message like "Hello I'm here".
Note the time stamp of "Hello I'm here" message
(Grab today said the 5 minutes count down is started when you press the white "I'm here" button.)
time stamp + 6 mins (avoid few seconds error) I will cancel with passenger no show and drive off.

Grab's shared way in class:
reach pup, press "I'm here", send a message like "Hello I'm here".
Call driver at least once.

Reached the 5 mins mark, send a message indicating that you are going to cancel because passenger no show.
go offline
take screen shot of chat with time stamp you saying you're going to cancel because passenger is not seen with the time stamp of +5 mins of your arrival to pick up location.
Cancel as passenger no show.
Save screenshot for homework after driving for the day and report each passenger with screenshot.
go online back and continue driving.

Grab will record your timestamp of when you press "I'm here", when you make a call and when you cancel as passenger no show. Grab will detect through GPS if you're at pick up location as well.


I was temporary suspended because my CR is around 15% for 2 weeks in a row. They said system will detect and temporary suspend if CR 10% and above and you're the top 5% highest CR. in 24 hours will get my account reactivated back.

Good thing this passenger no show thing comes in, will help not increase my CR for nothing. Sad thing is no compensation for cancelling. They did say they are experimenting in Singapore for passenger no show compensation, no news if intro in Malaysia yet.

Problem with this can be easily avoided if there's a short video or tutorial on how to use the app for passenger side.

There is a short tutorial for drivers but nothing for passengers.

Subang to kota kemuning to klang to shah alam.

Today so quiet, eat incentive only, 1 to 2 trips per hour small ones. Have to off engine a lot while waiting ping.

Good thing today's incentive follow normal Friday weekday's incentive because of the sudden public holiday.

Got klia ping, 40km journey rm65..

Reach queue 1k to 1.1k wtf.. Wait 1 hour see see since ping so slow else where. 1.5 hours later.. Queue is 800 to 900.. I say fuck this, drive to nearby cyberjaya, go to lim kok wing, open grab app see like 10 cars camping wtf.. Go to d pulze, like 15 cars camping.. Sigh gonna just call it a day

I agreed. My cancellation rate is 1.2%. Love this feature, somehow no compensation like uber for passenger no show though. Hopefully they'll implement something like they did for Grab Sg that compensates I think sgd 2.00.
