all sifu and senpai,some questions I do like to ask about grab, appreciate if someone can help me out.

I'm jobless and looking for new job atm, by the mean time, thinking about drive full time grab to sustain my life until I able get a new job and switch to part-time onwards. I am from melaka so want to ask any mlk driver,

1, is melaka fulltime grab driver workable to sustain? my expenses around 1.5k per month now. (and new grab driver need give grab 25% instead of old GA 20%)

2, I read lot bad things about DR which affect our incentives, without incentive, just the fare earning is enough to sustain the amount I mentioned? (1.5k)

3, if someone willing to pm me to share his experience as full-time grab driver in melaka,much appreciated.

I know about the fact, unfortunately, I am looking for new job in Mlk at the moment, and I am thinking switch to part-time to continue drive in Melaka weekend after I get a new job. This is why i willing to know is Mlk driver able to sustain their life(1.5k-2k expenses) if work full-time here.(with terror 25% from grab)

Memang Grab DR updated twice a day only la.

At afternoon and at midnight.
Maybe some asshole rated you in the morning, for previous trip, so it is only reflected in your afternoon DR.

Now I change strategy and drive at night after 9pm, smooth traffic and no need to stress... driving during MP or UP after office hour is really stressful... jam and pax is really common...Rm30-rm40/ hour is achievable and less stop and go in bad traffic.

I’m not sure if we old drivers need to re opt in?

From my understanding,old drivers need to re-opt in before tommorow 3pm.

I already prepared a stack of previous earning statements in case the treat me as ‘new driver’ with 25% commission

for example.. father owns a red myvi.. his 2 old son with valid license register to grab for a single car... they take take turn use the same car... older son ride morning shift then younger son when older son came home use the same car for night shift..

is this possible?

but they want more driver to drive longer hours for them.

To earn rm260 commissions driver need to collect gross fare of rm260/0.2= Rm1300 per weeks

hi guys, just wanna share my results for last week for all to comment and ponder
drive under - Ambassador HG (first time driving under this scheme even thou i opt in 6 weeks ago hahahahaha part timer is like that one)
drive location - JB area
drive hours - 19hrs  4hrs on weekday and 15 on fri - sun
total trip - 37trip
gross cash - rm410
gross incentive - rm150
petrol - rm74
not sure if this is a good result but compare with flexi scheme, i am averaging rm15 per trip under HG compare with rm9 under flexi. so ya i am happy with it

My friend mentioned that he was banned from Grab and now using Uber to work only.
With the recent merging of Uber and Grab, what will happen with his ban status? Will it be lifted?

Uber drivers composition
a. having both grab and uber account.
b. uber account only. (i guess most are part-timer)
c. banned by grab, so only uber account.

1. So, only b group. and they may or may not sign up grab after merge. if join also not much.

CNY, onward can feel supply is much more than past, more new driver and demand is lesser.
Uber rides composition
a. having both grab and uber. like to compare price or faster get match booking.
b. only uber account. - selected area. and minor are like uber culture.

2. For b, it has no choice , have to come to grab later. only the selected area will found more booking than past. regular area, will have abit more demand since no more price compare.

Is rider is king? not really. bcoz lesser choice. especially high demand area.
i too positive to grab statement.
