Hi all, I am a part time grab driver who drive only on Saturday and Sunday.
I am thinking to become full time driver . Do you all think can make RM 7k per month nett, if I drive 11 hour per day for 6 days a week?

Funnily enough, last night I picked up a rider from IOI City Mall and she accidentally cancelled the ride while she was in my car. She apologized and said to just send her to her place. She paid RM 17 according to Grab's price. 100% went into my pocket 😂🤑

short answer I'd say no...
to get close to 7k nett would require at least 14k gross
even if you worked 30 days a month, that's about 480 a day, and assuming you can average rm40 an hr, that's 12 hrs a day... not achievable if hg as only werkends may have enough hours with above rm40 guaranteed.
not sure how you came to 10k gross as a figure.
deducting grabs share and petrol, you'd already have no more than 6k... deducting maintenance, you maybe get 5k, less if you're renting the car.

I can do 9k gross on hg averaging 8 hrs a day, 6 days a week. can't say I have more than 4k nett though.definitely need other sources of income.

The other day while I was in Kajang, I received a ping from Simfoni Condo going to Sup Lembu Tangkak Melaka for RM207. I nearly took it but it was 11pm and I wanted to watch the League Cup final between Arsenal and Manchester City. On hind sight, I should've accepted the request as Arsenal got a good spanking from the other team.

Started grab and driven less than 8 days and this week none tired af just pt chill

Luckily last week Penang got the 28 trip per day x 5 cny angpow promo
done all 5 days and 28 trips now waiting for grab to cash in my incentives

wonder how long they will give me my rm288 

also opt in for the ambassador program how from my understanding its 20% only right?

To put things into perspective, I currently drive 8-10 hours per day, for 6-7 days a week and I am only getting RM1.3k nett (after deducting petrol and 20% commission from Grab) and this amount is subjected to car service and wear & tear as well. Even if I can keep consistent for one whole month with this kind of driving pattern I am only netting around RM5k per month. RM7k is very unlikely these days unless you kill your own body and car.

And like the other sifu who have raised very valid points, this amount we don't have insurance, benefits, EPF etc. and still have to account for any damages or services done on our own car as well. If can get an actual job it's actually better to stick with it because you'll have career advancement as well unlike Grab. You drive 10 years you 10 years still Grab Kuli, they won't promote you or anything 

This job only suitable for part time as there is 0 career progress. Grab only when u do not have a choice.

supply and demand game la. Theres always drivers who are willing to work for nett RM10 or less/hour. How to compete.

Sad la we becoming the chauffeur for the banglas, african in our own land. Sometimes, need to wait for them 10 minutes like we are their private driver for RM5. This is insulting but have to bear cause no money

Local people also can make you wait 10 minutes. Don't judge by skin color. Sometimes bangla better than local. Bangla is more likely to appreciate and give you tips. Actually, bangla never give me problem. It is the locals who are worst

80% daily AR has been quite effective d in reducing their incentive payouts. that and the higher minimum fares.

e-filing for part time drivers.. since last time we dont have statements, how la to do?
do we even need to do e filing as part time grab drivers?

JB driver no more minimum credit limit, except 6 seater need RM 10.
