With reference to your email, based on our checking, the transactions for e-Wallet reloads such as BigPay and TnG E-Wallet are not eligble for bonus points.

For your kind information, top up or reload transactions to e-Wallets such as Grabpay, Bigpay, Boost App, TnG e-wallet etc, are not entitled for bonus points or cash rebates as it is considered as deposit transactions.

can check if anyone, TWE no more bonus point??

Have always had, as mentioned here multiple times. So why trigger CIMB to go and double check it, and possibly remove the benefit?

Not very clever.

It's a double whammy for those people who legitimately accumulated points from actual retail spending.. and now can't redeem for cash, nor redeem for enrich saver points...

anyone that got the code can share how the email looks like? thanks

I asked CIMB CS - the benefit is for Travel Platinum cardholders, and Travel World and TWE cardholders are not eligible.

I have friends who got their waivers, but they were new to bank clients so they qualify for annual fee waiver after RM3000 spend after many rounds of calling and chasing.

however got friends who applied for TWE as an existing CIMB client and have exceed the 240k spend but apparently this only qualifies you for next year waiver and the upfront annual charge would not be waived.

A lot of complains on referral bonuses not being credited as well. Wondering if anyone is facing the same issue. thanks

I paid annual fees in full for TWE because I already had an eCard.... Sad.

I don't think so. CIMB has been nerfing benefits quite a bit.

last i checked

KUL - NRT

39200 EM vs 41000 Avios

KUL - ICN

61600 EM vs 26000 Avios

all flights is via MAS. Tax is all the same.

Even with enrich saver, Avios is still cheaper on ICN route.

Business class also slightly cheaper compare to EM.

the only thing pain in ass is that sometimes the availability is extremely limited.
*
Ah you went for Avios. I thought you loaded up on Enrich miles over last year. smile.gif

Question on card cancellation. Say for example service tax is charged on 16 Dec and annual fee is charged on 23 Dec. When can I cancel the card without any annual fees imposed?

how long have you been holding cimb card?

usually af charged on the same date, every year, right?

your case is 23 Dec, so AF will get charged on 23 Dec this year

of course cancel the card before AF is charged lah, right? what's the point cancelling after AF is charged (which is not your question is).
I'd say, cancel the card by end Nov instead. save you all the trouble knowing SST and AF will be charged the following month.

not to forget bank may forgot/delayed the cancellation too. so, give them some buffer time to process the card cancellation.
p/s: assuming no cb pending crediting.
*
For some cards , I kena AF then cancel but never spent on it any more after the AF was charged, and most banks waived it upon cancellation.

Btw, for CIMB I am consistently getting service tax charged a week before AF is charged... hence am a bit uncertain about whether I can still spend up to 23 Dec or up to 16 Dec... the question may seem a bit strange but just so happen I want to use the card benefit on 20th Dec for a specific reason... hahahaha....

not sure about cimb sst rebate easy to get or not

since u gonna spend on 20 Dec, cb will be on January already (unless u aren't spending for cb). by then, af already charged on 23 Dec.

Thanks. I plan to use it on 20th then cancel it on 22nd .. don't need points or cashback.
