Don't care about fee waiver as what's RM9.43/year vs RM25 x12 = RM300 free money?

Where got?
https://www.cimbbank.com.my/en/personal/pro...mastercard.html

From what I can see they slash it to 1%. If they slash it to 1%, I am not going to keep this card.  mad.gif  mad.gif

opening an older post and compare it to now is really doh.gif

read the timestamp properly. it was there when i opened it at 21 Dec, even the T&C PDF is still working.

now it's not there, either cimb planned to remove it or they are revising the content/images.

my 1st cc. so i need some guidance. smile.gif
*
if i read correctly, outstanding statement balance

as long as you use it, you will get oustanding regardless, that's where the fee comes into picture.

better double-triple make sure how's the charging works.

it is my first time using credit card.

statement date : 18 January
statement balance : RM500
due date : 7 February

16 January - swipe RM500
21 January - swipe RM200
22 January - swipe RM100

on 7 February should i pay RM500 or RM800 ? what will happen if i pay RM500 only ?
*
refer above example which I did for Maybank that can be applied to cimb and generally any other banks too.

ok i understand.

but in cimbclicks there is another thing called "outstanding balance". that one is what confused me.

people always advice me if want use credit card must "pay in full". i thought full means all outstanding.

so no point paying full for outstanding balance, better just pay full for statement balance. right ?
*
outstanding balance it total current accumulative outstanding (if any). this amount fluctuates depending on spending (increase) or refund/payment (decrease).

all cc is cutoff on "monthly" basis. just pay the statement amount in full by due date. other spendings after statement date will be cutoff on next statement. think of it like a postpaid mobile/tnb/syabas/etc bills. you dont keep paying it, right?

Hi Guys,

Not sure you all aware about CIMB CRCC's Cash Rebate Round Down or not.

From 29NOV18 till 28DEC18 i only use the card to pump one time petrol which cost RM61.47 (the only transaction that i had made on that card on that statement period)

When the statement came , i only earn RM1 Cash Back (By right should be RM1.23)

After contact CS, they mention that effective 3rd December 2018, cash rebate will be rounded down to the nearest ringgit.

Which mean if you earn RM1.23 CB , you will only get RM1 CB. (they round it down to nearest ringgit)

Some more attached a chart.

Did you guys facing this issue ? I try to search first page on this forum , nothing mention about it.
Also been to CIMB website --> Credit Card products --> CIMB CRCC , also never mention this.

Their Original Email Reply as below :

Dear Mr XXX

Thank you for your message.

Kindly be informed that effective 3rd December 2018, cash rebate will be rounded down to the nearest ringgit.

The amount will be rounded down from all categories and subsequently added up to form the total cash rebate.

Please refer to table enclosed for example.

Thank you for banking with CIMB Bank.

well, just dug out cimb's announcement before 3 Dec 2018, as above.
the round-down changes is tucked at the bottom of the announcement:

also, in the CRCC T&C, it's in Clause 10:

Sorry for OT, but I can't find cimb cc thread:-

Did cimb inform u on the round down mechanism at all? I was not informed and the T&C stated any chances cimb would need to inform users no less than 20 days. This is ridiculous. I found out the hard way my CB from 90cents to 0.
