Hi im looking for this car...
Any major problem of this car? is it worth?
*
Nothing rampant so far, other than the annoying suspension noise.....

Worth or not is up to you to decide. Better that you also go try out civic, golf and hyundai elantra before making the decision.

This iStop battery really stupid lol. The annual savings from this system not even 500++ but the battery only can tahan 1 year plus..

It's all about the marketing....environmental credentials can sell.....

The best way is to just turn it off after starting the car, it becomes second nature after about a month or 2. Manually activate it after a long drive once in a while at night to just test whether still working or not.

How long the engine can pause also is a rough guide of your battery health. Just remember to turn off A/C so the system will ignore cabin temperature cut off.

I think the more intuitive sequence should be seatbelts>start button>istop button>mirrors, it is one circle from left to right flex.gif

Practice makes perfect, i get the hang of it already. Now if i don't see orange istop led, now immediately feel beh song sweat.gif

brought my car to the workshop. they tested the charge, still remaining 70++%

Mechanic gave me few options:

1. Continue using. Probably can tahan 2-3 more months until it dies. But iStop won't kick in.
2. Replace battery. RM500 ++++++++++++++
3. Leave the car at workshop and charge for a full day, hoping can extend the battery life.

Will go for option 3 probably. This iStop battery really stupid lol. The annual savings from this system not even 500++ but the battery only can tahan 1 year plus..

If problem starting car battery is weak and due for replacement. Your SC is bullshitting you to avoid honouring the warranty. Try another SC.

To answer my own post, got the battery changed for free today. First battery change during warranty period is free. There is also another 1 year warranty on top of the new battery. Don't need appointment, just drive the car in and wait 1-2 hrs.

is this only applicable to mazda 3 or all skyactiv range?

They refuse to change the battery under warranty? Once the i-stop doesn't work anymore you can claim a new battery irrespective of how much charge they measure.

Any battery shop can install for you. If they don't know how to recaliberate the i-stop google on how to do it yourself.

My car suddenly started having some really loud growling + squeaking/scratching noise, seems to be from the engine(but could be transmission?)
Only noticeable when pushing throttle slowly like just moving after starting, or low rpm and <60kmh. And only in D, never in N.

SC near setapak won't take in during saturdays(service only they say), and they're full tomorrow.
My schedule is packed so no time to send it in myself any other time, now I'm worry myself to death lol

Need some word of comfort from you guys.

Could be a loose air-con belt. Off the air-con and see if the sound disappears.

That's what I thought as well, but then I dismissed it because couldn't understand how that would relate to the noise. confused.gif
Tried turning the air-con off and so far the sound disappears ohmy.gif

Of course could just be coincidence, so I'll play around again with the air-con tomorrow before sending it to service on Wednesday.
Thanks.
