I asked the sender declared it as used item and below $50... so no kena any tax
*
it depends where the seller is based at and how strict their customs law is.

i bought a watch 2 years ago from Europe and they informed me in advance that they only do actual value declaration.

it's exceptionally risky nowadays to make false declaration especially if the seller is a registered company.

mine is before the facelift.

the "stop & go" function isn't really worth the upgrade to be honest because unless the car in front of you starts moving almost immediately after it comes to a complete stop, you'll need to either tap on the accelerator or press the "RES" button on the steering to get the car moving again.

it doesn't "go" automatically doh.gif

New and bigger screen ❤️

2 questions:-

1) does it now enables ACP to connect wirelessly; and
2) does navigation now appears on the HUD?

These 2 are not just part of the screen. Either software or the whole ICE hardware unit is involved

The first can be easily solved with a dongle. The second is still a mystery
*
i initially assumed that the "ACP wireless device" comes attached to the new screen rather than from a separate part.

going to book liftback ignite edition, but before that can someone share the pros and cons of this car after driving it for some time?
*
Pros:
(1) BOSE;
(2) Nice to look at;
(3) Engaging to drive - especially zipping through corners;
(4) Feels seated in the car rather than on the car; and
(5) Burgurdy leather seats!

Cons
(1) Can be a pain to maintain to make sure it keeps looking great;
(2) Paint / Rock chips all over - even the side doors are not spared;
(3) Low ride height - can be quite challenging maneuvering around ramps;
(4) Additional effort to maintain those black rims;
(5) Stiff ride - you can literally feel every unevenness on the road; and
(6) Expect some rattles / creaks although it is a CBU.

My M3 BP (2019) is out of warranty now and going for first outside service. Which synthetic oils should I use? Not sure which one is used at bermaz service center. 5w/30 or 0w/20?
*
0w/20 should be fine but check the manufacturer's recommendation in the manual book, that will be "it" engine oil for the car.

QUOTE(wufei @ Feb 5 2025, 10:58 PM)
wah this thread is still alive.

Any good service centre to recommend around Klang valley (KL & PJ)?
*
(1) the Kinrara one is not bad but because it is small, it may not be too comfortable and waiting times can be long because only 2 counters available serving;
(2) the Glenmarie one is the "go-to" SC but lead time can range between 2 ~ 3 weeks;
(3) the PJ (Federal Highway) SC is the recommended one because it's strikes a balance between the lead time and service however the location may not be ideal for most people.

for the paint chips, any suggestions ? ppf whole car?  sad.gif
*
PPF'ing the entire car in this category is not worth it - if at all, you PPF all the entire piano black interior (SKIP THE METER CLUSTER!) the front bumper, your side mirror covers and the door handle bowls (high traffic area), the rest of the parts, you #livewithit.

the first chip is always the hardest, it gets easier over time. 5/6 years down the road when you put your down payment for your new car and realize your trading in price is crap, you'll be glad that you didn't spent close to RM10k PPF'ing the car.

I only PPF the frontal portion and door cups of my car. The rest do coating will be sufficient. So far I haven't spotted any significant chips or I didn't look hard enough

But anyway dont fret too much over little things like this.... the first or 2nd year of ownership maybe yes you will feel it until the honeymoon period is over tongue.gif
*
i noticed that the CX-30 is less prone to paint/rock chips, probably of its higher bonnet height. didn't see a single chip throughout my entire 6 months ownership but 1 month into my Mazda3, already kena the FWS and also one tiny one on the front bonnet.

Another cons is...

When other car owners open their door, and they bang to your door, the dent can be seen very easily.
*
YES! THIS!!

so adding to the CONS list:-

(7) difficulties in finding the right parking spot.

Still lots of complaints about thin paint from CX30 owners... but most of them are from other reasons like bump from other car doors, which I guess M3 also suffers the same looking at above
*
thin paint is pretty much synonymous with Mazda already and the Soul Red Crystal suffers the worst but i guess if you want that glossy bright color on metal, these are the sacrifices you have to make.

both the CX30/Mazda3 shares the same paint technology so they also share the same problem. it will be more apparent on the Mazda3 because:-

(1) it's lower in height so chances of stone hitting the bonnet instead of the front grill is higher; and
(2) events of tailgating is also more biggrin.gif

why skip the meter clusters? it is also easily scratched.

i think what he meant was since the meter cluster is easily scratched.... best to skip it since during the process it might be scratched

but tbh applying a TPU film onto my cluster (DIY) actually covered all the scratches
*
yeap, ZeneticX is correct.

also, most "detailers" used soap water or some other lubricants during application and the area around the meter cluster isn't sealed therefore there is a high risk of water seepage that may cause issues / problem in the long run so best proceed with caution.

this should be available on all the IPM models (eg: after October 2023) but better to check with the SA for confirmation.

Hi everyone, would like to ask what would be a good dashcam for 2024 mazda 3?
*
it all depends on your budget, even the most affordable one (70mai) can serve its purposes but if you want more than the bare minimum, look for the one with capacitor instead of lithium.

this board can help you better ---> https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4763761/+5500

tq. but due to budget i think im gonna go for 1.5, just for short around town drive biggrin.gif

so is it possible to change the infotainment from 8.8 to 10? any SC? let say if im based in sabah
*
you should really consider the High+ because a good 1.5 would cost you around RM85,000.00 to RM90,000.00 already (+RM10,000.00 if you are taking it from Anshin).

the ongoing market price for a High+ should be around RM100,000.00 ~ RM110,000.00 but considering that you are getting a bigger engine and basically a complete set of safety suit (not to mention all the other goodies), it's well worth the price.

the 1.5 doesn't even come with reverse parking sensors and has cloths seats.

im trying to look for a below 100k price,

so might just have to wait until next year  blush.gif  blush.gif
*
if you are waiting for another year, i'd highly suggest you to consider one of those affordable Chinese EV cars. way more value for the money spent. buying a 7 year old Mazda3 with little to no specifications for close to RM100k is really a waste of money (not to mention the used car interest rates).

even in 2025, the specifications of the Ignite for RM175k is considered inferior/incomparable to its competitors. cannot imagine the 1.5 one in 2026 sweat.gif

through Facebook's Mazda3 group page, seen a little bit more than 3 that are on sale but they are not the IPMs (meaning no burgurdy seats and no BOSE).

yeap, RM30k sounds about right.

I sold my CX-30 within 6 months, bought at around RM153k and sold at RM121k.

Hi guys, would like to ask is there anyone from here experienced this problem b4? My car suddenly engine stop when I am reversing my car, then cannot start again. Later I jump start my car.

The battery is newly bought, I m not sure what happen, maybe the battery is recon or other prob?
*
unlikely to be a battery problem as a failing/faulty battery will not kill an already in motion engine. seems to me like the ECU cuts power to the car to avoid a catastrophic failure. my best guess has to be the gearbox, perhaps the reverse gear.

surprisingly, what you described sounds awfully like when someone mistimed the clutch pedal when changing gears in manual.

then again, how old is your car already and have you ever changed your ATF?

Hi guys, I would like to ask all mazda 3 owners. Do u all do PPF/Coating?

i did a full car coating and PPFs on these areas:-

1) front bumper;
2) side mirrors caps;
3) rear boot lip; and
4) all the black piano plastics inside the car.

QUOTE(Kar Weng @ May 4 2025, 11:52 PM)
Hi sifus, I’m fascinated by the aesthetic of the Mazda 3 Liftback Platinum Quartz. A few questions I have in mind:

1. Does the 1.5L ver (which they stop producing) have this color option? Seems like it’s exclusive to 2.0L

2. Is it better to buy 2nd hand or new?

3. Is Mazda 3’s specs a little too underwhelming for its price range compared to other competitors esp chinese EVs like Seal? The looks are definitely stunning but are the specs able to keep up with time?

4. How’s the RV like in general for M3?

Thanks in advance sifu sekalian
*
1) we will never know because Bermaz don't carry the 1.5L anymore but i've seen youtube videos in Japan that they do have the 1.5L in PQM;

2) it's a subjective question whether new or used is preferred but i'd advise going for a new one because chances are, most used Mazda3 are thrashed by their previous owners because they are such a good drive - furthermore, you can the comfort of manufactured warranties;

3) everything is underwhelming when compared to the Chinese makes, even if you compared City/Vios with MGs, it makes you feel that Honda/Toyota is ripping you off;

4) i always hold on to the same principle when it comes to buying cars - if RV concerns you then don't buy any new cars. It's like thinking about divorce even before getting married. If budget is an issue then get what you need but if budget is not an issue then get what you want.

QUOTE(ultrajack @ May 5 2025, 11:39 PM)
Hi guys I just got my mazda 3 ignite edition for 2 days.

When I drive it I feel quite anxious maybe due to the tight space.

Isit something that anyone has experienced when first driving it?

Is it common and need sometime to get used to it or is it just me? Fyi my previous car was a honda city 2023 edition.
*
it's not the space but your consideration of the price of the car and because it's new and you're afraid of damaging it, one way or another. that's normal.

another point to consider is the rather low sitting position, the City sits quite high so transitioning into the Mazda3 makes you feel that you can't "see/observe" your surroundings. you'll be fine in a week or two, just enjoy the drive and your BOSE.

Hi guys,

It seems that MAEPS will have Mazda show casing the Mazda 3 Hatchback MS Edition? With all it's upgrades on appearance,brakepads, strut bar, i cant find a source that shows that it has Bose sound system and etc.

Mazda website got a survey on the MS edition as well.
*
it doesn't.
