It will be an exclusive SUV and kinda "limited edition" to drive around, no doubt it will be a looker among the crowd. biggrin.gif

I guess this is only for those who like to be different than the average joe.. tongue.gif

Looker? I find it extremely ugly vs HRV or XV or Nissan Rogue

You hardly see one in Spore and the CHR only cost a few grand more than the HRV but Singaporeans are still buying the latter over the CHR. They are buying much more Rogue than the CHR as well

I predict the sales for the CHR will be similar to the Prius in Msia

Good luck UMW. I hope Nissan overtakes you in 2018 tongue.gif

If you go check the 1.2L turbo power numbers, it is quite close to the 1.8. Just that the response definitely different.

Still overpriced, but at least feel a little more worth it.
or maybe he left the automotive industry permanently already....all his kaki-kaki strategy tiba-tiba lost direction  cry.gif  cry.gif

anyway, let's wait patiently when he resurface up (or maybe he never will, just like the argentinian sub...)

I miss my idol!!!

This price range can get Tiguan 1.4T, Tucson 1.6T, or top up a bit for CR-V 1.5T. I believe all of them will be more fuel efficient than the CH-R 1.8NA, from my Elantra 1.6T experience.

The modern tiny turbo engine is really something. My combined mileage is over 13km/l on average, with average speed on odo only 32km/h. I spent quite some time in traffic light/jam, which pull down the average. 17km/l on highway 110km/h, 15km/l on highway 130-140km/h, with 160-180km/h on small occasion.

Civic 1.5T should be 10-15% more economy than mine. So I really think not using 1.2T doesn't only lose on power, it also has huge disadvantage on fuel economy unlese it sell at 90K like HR-V. Consider paying 50K for fancy bodykit on a HR-V. Haha

Also Toyota insists on proprietary infotainment globally, meaning no android auto, no apple carplay even for 2018 Camry in US.

funny thing is that you do know that with 145k

You can already buy a mid size suv from CRV , CX 5, X trail and etc .

UMW darn fail at making prices. Its even more expensive than their top trim level of hilux pickup LOL while this CHR consider lowest spec

Since cbu, they can put whatever price they want. Not sure which consumer they are targeting. Cx3 looks better. Crv is bigger.

I will stick to my theory that UMW Toyota too rich and pity the other manufacturers SUV sales.

So UMW decide help the other brands by selling at high price so only stupid rich people will buy it.

145k is way too pricey imo. This price is in the mid size suv segment range...

Unless this CHR is around the top tier range.

However this soon to come CHR is consdered as the lowest or lower spec of the CHR Range .

I saw a yellow CHR singapore plated near pavilion once before. I went to the owner and ask for a short preview..... The model he had is a 1.2 turbo and heavens the interior is very premium .. The headlights are also very gorgeous especially when the turn signals are on
