 Home Fibre slow download speed

Hi Maxis,

I m just upgrade from 10mb to 30mb recently, but my download speed rarely can reach 30mb, no matter using p2p or direct download, even my steam maximum download speed also around 10mb only, why is this happened? Can Maxis help reset my port? Will it help?

And when the maxis operator called to upgrade, they claimed that download and upload speed also 30mb, is that true? But when speed test, upload speed around 10mb only.

Maybe you are still stuck at 10meg speeds...
And if you call to maxis, they most likely would tell you that, "I do apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please be informed that internet speeds are based on best effort"....

when did you call for the upgrade?

did you restart your router/modem?

Do you have QoS set in your router?

Doesnt looks like your plan has been upgraded yet.

They called me last week, the router been on/off several times, not setting any qos at router, and my plan should have upgraded because i can see my plan is MaxisOne Home 30Mbps using MyMaxis app. Actually sometimes i can get up to 30mb download speed but just very rarely....

Hmm thats really weird, are you on highrise or landed? not using Homeplug are you ?

Just normal landed and using direct lan cable to the PC....

I'd the same problem after upgrade to 30mb. Speed test result still 10mb.
You need to call them to complain, and show them speed test result.
Maxis need to fix this from their end.

So Maxis 30mbps plans is both up and down speed also 30mb???

yes thats correct, maxis 30mbps plan is 30up/30down unlike Unifi

Yes, call Maxis again and again until problem is solved.
Tried many methods from them, and it doesn't work for me.
At the end, problem is solved from Maxis end, maybe their side got some configuration not done properly.

I already contact with Maxis, they claimed somethings wrong with my line, will help fix within this few days...I think my problem should similar wit yours...

the problem with maxis is very inconsistent ........
i have to work with china server and this what i get :
when we complaint they give tons of excuses but nothing abt them, funny part, using my maxis mobile 4g lines i can have below 100ms ping with no single lost package .....

You need to work with their tech team to escalate that issue of yours, many months back i had issue connecting to XBLive server during 7pm-12am starting from friday-Sunday only, i capture all the ping test to various US server & Xbox network test with packet lost result, mailing forth & back with maxis tech. At the end they switch some routing for my port (I guess) which my ping to XBLive server now is about <50 previously 180-220
