But I was told that the D80 kit would cover all your needs and its known that NIKON gives better Kit lenses than CANON anyday. Esp this D80 which come with the 18-135mm lense.

QUOTE(cjtune @ Jun 16 2007, 01:07 PM) What will be your first len(ses)? A good DSLR body and a kit lens usually will head for a "divorce" sooner than you'd think. Budget also for your accessories... Im planning to buy D80 body only and use AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED. (sugeested by my fren) Is this combination ok? |

18-200mm covers from wide angle to zoom. If u dont want to carry many lens type with u this lens will cover mostly all ur needs. Maybe u might want to add one prime lens for potrait shoot or one for macro if u are into this kind of photography.

is the fujifilm finepix S5700 a good dslr ? Im looking for my first dslr, and i found someone selling brand new for RM866. Is that price for real ? Seems too good to be true.
it comes with standard accessories from manufacturer + 1 year warranty from fujifilm |

The fujifilm finepix S5700 is not a true DSLR. It is only a superzoom that looks like a DSLR.

QUOTE(chucky @ Sep 26 2007, 09:10 PM) that's rather misleading.the S5700 is not even a DSLR! to be identified as DSLR, it's not about the shape. it's the mechanism. around RM2k, choose between Nikon D40 or Canon 350D.
Personal recommendation would be Canon 350D. |

Hey guys.....why don't you all consider about Olympus E-510??? Its features are better than 400d and d40x, at least the kit lens certainly outperform both's kit lenses. If you buy the twin lens kit package, it's very worthwhile and I am sure that you can cover quite a number of occasions already. Just my two cents.....

hahaha need to save money first
Added on September 30, 2007, 2:54 amafter some readings, i think i better start with prosumer camera. So can a prosumer takes multiple shots like a slr ? I mean, like very2 small lag between shots. Of course cannot beat slr rite ? Im quite interested on the the panasonic lumix dmc-fz18 coz it has 18x optical zoom. Is it good ? This post has been edited by munky: Sep 30 2007, 02:54 AM |
