Here sooner will have the LTE-A or 4G+, Telcos are upgrading the infra , city centre. But my RN4 does not support it due to U Mobile using intraband only, Celcom , Maxis supports both intraband an interband.

Redmi 5 Plus supports both ?

Starhub has 4G+ offer ? Or your the phone no supports ?

As the mobile technology moving forward , the industry and telco standard does not care whether we all really need it or not for now but sooner or later. Other countries already testing 5G.

My mix 2 and all Xiaomi phones didn't seen 4G+ before in SG.
But as long the speed up there.

In MY they can do better but most of the time and some area may not offer with 4G service..

Because Xiaomi lower end phone doesn't comes with intrerband carrier aggregation support but only intraband so that's why you won't get LTE-A in Malaysia as all carrier using interband carrier aggregation.

All Xiaomi phone didn't support 4G+ in Malaysia from Premium (Mi Series) till lower end (Redmi Series).. Currently using Mi5 even Mi6, Mi Note 2, Mi Mix 2 also wont get 4G+.... This has been discuss so many time here..

I didn't care about 4G + or Volte in my phone.

I've spent some time reading the Unlocking Bootloader FAQ and I realized this is one hell of a tedious process. laugh.gif

I think I will have to pay a little more bangwall.gif and wait for Malaysia set. bangwall.gif

Anyway, I still learnt a lot of things from you guys and understood why the hell Xiaomi lock their bootloader.

Thank you very much for those who have taken your precious time to teach and explain to me all about flashing the phone. I truly appreciates that big respect to you guys! notworthy.gif

You sure about that? Those phone except Mi5 support intra-band and inter-band CA. It should work properly on 4G+ properly in Malaysia.

You talking about Redmi 5 only?
For Redmi 5 plus still remain 4000 mAh and same processor SD625.

Both are good model.

Used to be 4100 mAh with RN4. To top it off, now the same SD625 need to drive more pixels on a bigger screen running on a slightly less juicy battery.

My gut telling me that a bigger screen alone would consume more power even before taking the extra pixels into account.

Well if you prefer to look at it that way, RN4 would still get you some better stats.

Cannot compare to older model.
RMN4 screen just 5.5" only and brightness are totally different.
