Why GLA 250 is very much cheaper than C class 250?
Is it because the GLA is a lower standard than the C class?

According to the mybenz forum , there is a guy can do the upgrade for 2 grands! According to MBM, no free update!

So MBM charges more than 2k? Omg ridiculous price.

Go take a look at the rear seats. Almost 90 degree.
It's a poor design.

I did ask before but no clear answer! Don't think the local dealers do upgrading of the map!
BMW 's interior is so boring! From E36 till F30 also similar design! No comment as I have yet to test drive it! Only downside is the workmanship of MBM ! I heard rattling sounds is common! Still not rectified from w204. Sigh!

Rattling sound... So annoying...
During test drive of the GLA, I also notice that sound. I tot it's isolating case.

C200 is extremely comfortable. Interior looks like a million bucks. Merc downside is its gearbox. The gearbox nvr feels as fast or snappy as a VW dsg or Bmws 8 speeder.

3 series interior is boring and old. But the driving feel is excellent. Steering weight abit light and does not feel planted. Performance wise, BMW trumps the Merc. The 3 series feels more energetic and more willing to go faster.

The Merc is more of a comfortable cruiser.

But the Merc wins hands down on refinement and looks.

BMW has 5 years free service . Merc u need to pay for every service which costs a bomb. So the choice is in your hands...

Yes, BMW offers 5 years warranty and free service.
It offers big discount too @ MYR210K.
The price difference is MYR70K.

What about the durability of engine?
I do not want bad engines and gear box like VW's.

Yes, Mercedes' interior looks much better than BMW.

I didn't hear rattling sound when I tested the car yesterday.

I spoke to my 2 friends who are the VW owners, they told me stay away from VW.
I spoke to the sales advisor of VW, the guy couldn't even tell me which model is the less problematic car.
(The guy mumbled Tiguan though).
Many VW outlets in JB already closed down since 2014.
VW sales has dropped 60% since 2014.

Looking at the feedback, close down of sales and service outlets and plunge of sales turnover, sorry, I'm not going to risk MYR300K on a VW.
It's not about the money per se. It is the common sense.

Thought jb only has one outlet selling vw? The one next to see and see! The only vw I will get would be the passat cc! Superb gearbox! What model of vw so exp that cost 300k? Touareg?

Chilax cruising ok, chick magnet ok, daily pasar malam taufufah run very ok ( taillights at night )

Not the fastest or smoothest ride out there; acceleration very mushy...hell, switching from CLA200 to Grand Livina made d ol nissan feel fast ler, how sad...

Buy for the looks, comfy cruising and enjoy the attention...just dont provoke dat ahbeng honda mugen at the traffic light; you'll lose, bad.

I allocated MYR300K to have this new car registered under my company.

I have tested many cars. I have my options open to various brands and segments.
However, none from VW. I just don't feel like taking the risk.

Tested these so far.
Audi A3, A4, A6, Q3 and Q5.
BMW 2 Active and Gran Tourer, 320i, 328i GT and 520i.
Mercedes C200 Avantgarde, CLA200, B200 and E200.
Lexus NX200t.

What I like so far is Audi Q5, BMW Gran Tourer 220i, Mercedes C200 Avantgarde and BMW 320i (BMW offers huge discount now @ MYR210K with 5 years free service & warranty. The price is cheap).
