I just had a chat with apple reps on apple website.. asking if my iPhone that is purchased from Apple Store in Singapore can be sent to Apple authorised service provider in Malaysia.. upon checking my serial number, she said yes my unit can be sent to AASP here.
Just to update on this because I know there are lots of SG iPhone X user here.

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Nov 25 2017, 03:29 PM) answer is ‘probably No’ based on their warranty terms, but if you take up Apple Care+, the warranty is cover world wide Be careful with giving out info. Apple care+ is only applicable to countries that sell apple care+ , mostly (but not necessarily) countries that has Apple Store. For Apple iPhone, it has limited warranty covers within the countries with similar model numbers. This post has been edited by irenic: Nov 25 2017, 07:00 PM

QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 25 2017, 06:29 PM) I have mine off, it's way warmer than my 10.5 iPad True Tone. Are you sure? We don't have Apple Stores in NZ but we have AppleCare+ for sale everywhere. Not for iPhone. This post has been edited by irenic: Nov 25 2017, 06:45 PM

QUOTE(vez @ Nov 25 2017, 06:39 PM) for sure he is wrong, Singapore Apple Store just open this year, before that, for the past SG have Apple Care+ for iPhone already.... If u guys read carefully, I specifically mentioned apple store because all countries with Apple store offer applecare+ for iPhone. No point talking about some exceptions like SG last time. Back then many policies are different. QUOTE(OKLY @ Nov 25 2017, 06:44 PM) If your iPhone is bought from a country that offers AppleCare+, then you can purchase it. Malaysian set is not eligible for AppleCare+. Yes. If someone bought iPhone in SG with AppleCare+, the extra protections cant be used here.

QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 25 2017, 06:47 PM) Yes they have for iPhone. I checked, entered my serial number. AppleCare+, $349. Then NZ has the same exception like people in SG enjoyed last time. We dunno about the exception, but to say AppleCare+ provides international warranty is totally wrong.

QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 25 2017, 06:53 PM) Well you sure made it sound like AppleCare for iPhones are only available at countries that has Apple stores. Which is not true. Then when someone said AppleCare+ provides international warranty, that’s totally misleading. Go purchase one, and try to claim here in Malaysia.

QUOTE(OKLY @ Nov 25 2017, 06:55 PM) Actually it’s possible, I have checked with Apple and they said can bring back to any Apple authorised service provider. So if they do not honor the warranty, it’ll just be slightly more hassle to contact Apple first and Apple would most likely provide a letter. Well that is mostly on Apple Reps 2nd level discretion. Lots of people with SG applecare+ not able to use the extra protection here, not just AASP, but also after talk to apple careline.

QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Nov 25 2017, 06:57 PM) That’s not the point though is it? The point is in the midst of correcting him, you yourself gave misleading information about AppleCare for iPhones only available for purchase in countries that has official stores. Which is totally and completely false. Maybe the intention is a bit misleading, i cant list down all countries. So I rephrase my statement to this: QUOTE Apple care+ is only applicable to countries that sell apple care+ , mostly (but not necessarily) countries that has Apple Store. Please correct yours too. Tq The funny thing is, where applecare+ does sell (whether in random countries, or countries with apple store) does not as important as believing purchasing applecare+ automatically provides u global extra warranty.
