it seems now feng shui is part of consideration in buying property ( type / location ) and influence partly in renovation n decoration decisions , let's share ur idea here about wat u hav learnt about it , pool the ideas together so tht all of us don't hav to go thru the thick n expensive books....

This is a thread of sharing , no rite or wrong ( but at least don't mislead to Holland....) , no feng shui war ok.....?

the best might be pay for a feng shui master to check for u before renovations?
but before i purchase my unit, i actually check my balcony is located at which directions lar.

I heard ppl say, the best is ur balcony can have sun light shine in during morning. It can bring good luck wor .... and also chase away the dirty things ... hahaha ....

Actually they didn say is balcony ... they said main entrance ... but condo design, main entrance already macam back door .... and balcony looks like front .... and also balcony is the only place where u can shine the whole living room lo ...

Go watch astro channel 27 lo ... i think every nite they have taiwan show talking about feng shui also .... hee

p/s: different ppl have different type of fengshui that suits u i guess ... hehe

My Feng Shui tip is dun paint your house dark colours choose bright lively colours...

House with number 4 is not always bad it depends on person if they born on certain Day, Month, Year bla bla house number 444 can actually be good for you

The facing of your new house and door is more important than your house address...

Make sure your house front door and gate is not facing oncoming traffic from T junction...

Make sure your upstairs rooms bed is not above the kitchen stove... its true for double story house coz its roasting you while sleeping (in real life its true coz the heat from kitchen I can feel through the floor... )




I can't think of anymore... but when I was purchasing my house I received tonnes of Feng Shui advice from ppl...

hahaa .... where u get those advice from?? May b we also should start compiling the feng shui tips now ....
And they even say, dining room don put mirror, if not when u take ur meal, and ur reflections will appear in the mirror, then they said ... donno is u eating the food or someone else eating the food ....
and also bedrooms don put big big mirror ... it is not good as well.
alot of ppl will put big mirror to make and illusion that the room will look bigger ... but i think it is only good if we can put in living rooms ... since bedroom and dining room already out .... orr ... may b we can put in bathroom also lar ... wahahhaa ... can see ur whole body in the mirror while u bath .... then ppl will start saying ... donno u r the one who bathing or someone else is bathing in the mirror ... wahh ... geli geli .... hahahaha ....

i heard 1 property sales woman say for high rise property , any floor lower than 8 ( or was it 6 ) including parking floor will take main entrance of the building for north east south west direction, those above take own door facing direction for fengshui purpose....

quite true, but not for unit above 8th floor. For 8th floor and above, your main door will be the one that had a overall biggest view. So it also mean that the main door could be your balcony in fengshui. Eh i'm not asking you to jump from ur balcony ehehe.

example.

The condo building is facing west, but you stay in 10th floor, your main door face east, but you had a blocked view such as a pillar in the middle, for alternative you could take your balcony as a main door to get the facing direction, u'll need to draft out the floor plan and apply flying star method. From there onward you'll be able to put in remedies, fix, or enhancement.

is ok , here about sharing , forumers hav to seek proper confirmation b4 actually taking action....common sense right?

hahaa .. yes ... totally agreed .... definitely will consult some experts before making any decisions lo ... but it is also good to share ideas among lyn members lar .... here is like exchanging ideas mar ... hehee ...

hehe lot's of other stuff need to include also ... ur personal "kua" number for best direction in sleep, work and etc. Also not to forget your own 8 pillar, once you got your self element .. den u get the basic idea on how to decorate ur house..

eg - a weak/ yin water person would like something blue to enhance it's own self element to enable them to control their wealth element which is fire, such as painting ur living room lite blue would be nice.

But things are diffrent for strong self element person. Eg- yang water person would not like to get any stronger .. so a exhausting element / color will be used .. such as lite green for living room. (green = wood) wood exhaust water. In feng shui we are talking about balance and harmony. over flown with one particular element is suicide. hehehe

where and how do we find out our elements? and how bout couples?? let say i m stronger in yang and my gf stronger in yin or the other way round? how to compromise each other??

haha i think u better find someone with proper knowledge to analyze ur 8 pillar, i'm not qualify to do so. To find out your own element, you'll need your time of birth, day, month and year. As for compatibility issue .. i believe we need to work thing out lar, if your gf element destroy you, it dosent mean you cant marry her, you'll just need to workout just a lil bit harder to enjoy a good relationship or marriage.

house no 8, road 3 /4e = feng shui good or not?

house facing direction , geography ( left side higher or ..., behind got mountain, water flowing...) , location of room in the house are rather more important than number of the house. as far as i know...

err .... so many things to consider ....
so the object from the left hand side higher better or right hand side?
and behind got mountain better?

generally left green gradon , right white tiger, dragon has to be at the higher ground, then can't put water stuff in those area...
high ground behind house considered got urself covered from behind.
facing water is good , tht's y some rich ppl has fover with fountain as roundabout ( imagine).
direction of river or big drain around ur house oso impoertant but i don quite remember oready....

okok ... got it .... haha .... left hand side higher ... and backside need to cover with something ... hahaha ... so if a condo ... the backside consider what wor?? because if not mistaken i heard ppl say balcony already consider as the main entrance (front) ... so where is the back of the house?

i heard from those feng shui talk show from HK, the condominium feng shui is depends on the building itself.. then each unit depends on its position and floor

ya lar.... i also didn't care so much on that, just make sure the place is not polluted, the location of rising sun, security and etc.. feng shui.. sometimes too subjective...

hahaa ... why don u start it first??? lolz ... btw, i think no matter how many books we read and how many ideas we share here. To be fully confident on the feng shui ... we still will ask or hire the feng shui master to come over the house to study the feng shui for us one ... for me now i don think i will do that yet. But if in future if i have the budget, i might do it ....

But to read and share ideas here is very good anyways ... i support ... hahaa

haha , i think it's good to do some readings on our own , rather than believe blindly on wat fengshui master say, at least we know wat to ask n wanto request.

fengshui is only part of the element that affect one's luck / destiny, so everyone can learn n do some little changes in life.

of course , when it involves big renovation , office setting ,marriage....consult a master , but get ideas from frens, experiences to share...

For buying new property (not completed), quite difficult to forecast. Only way to choose is look at compass direction of entrance and see if fit own kua directions.

The only feng shui i believe is to build the house exactly as the pyramid shape & ratio & direction and you'll feel the feng shui power no joke

haha.. anyway..recently i bought a house, no 44 and i m a chinese...i know alot chinese will not pick this no due to the same pronounces as MATI in mandarin. hehe..hopefully i manage to get the better side of 44 -> 4+4=8 (p/s:8 meaning rich in mandarin)

i've seen a few chinese add the word 'ru yi'(mandarin) to the numbers 44 at their house number plate.

My house is number 43... is it bad... got number 4...

My grandmother house is 441...

house number ... hmm how bout car plate number? my fren car plate number 9413.. he has been driving more than 10 years never major accident, no gurantee what will happen in future but until now still ok wut.

feng shui is a very subjective matter, it do counts on individual faith also... for me, when you are browsing for your own use, first thing is that feel when you come into the house. whether its welcome you or not, that is very important...
feng shui are not a dead fact but something would constantly change. even when your first few months or years that particular house suits you but eventually it may go the other way round thats why you can see why those richie rich ppl renovate their premises quite oftenly....just my 2cent

Anyway, Feng Shui changes every 20 years. It changedin 2006 and will have the same method for the next 20 years.

But one thing, if you learn from 1 master, stick to it. Don't change. Every master has different intepretation. So, be careful.

Feng Shui as its name goes, its all about the surrounding. Most important, is your gut feeling. Feel bad, means it must be bad.

Even in a house, there are dead corner and live corner. To simply and to determine, place an apple on every corner of the house. Or every corners. See which one rot fastest. Usually those that rot fast have bad Qi there. So, to improvise, just put some light or do some decor there.

As for house numbers, don't worry, you can always go to townboard and change it... from Hse # 14, can change to #12A.
But if house number 44, then I donno la... Kekekeke...

Hm.. i m not really worry about the no 44 as it seen like destinate to be my house no as b4 that i wanted to get another unit next to 44, but one of the auntie there who also wanted to buy the same unit, when she knew that we were interested, she quickly place order...haha..damn funny..the way she talk at that time was like "wait wait...i wan this unit next to 44..it is my house now" haha...auntie anutie...never mind lo...44 then 44 lo...

5354 almost similar to 9394 wut, literally means nonsense.
9413 means almost confirm die. dying better than nonsense?

nowadays?the condo i've been living almost 10 years, has been using 3A n 13A, for 4th n 14th floor respectively since the beginning, but angmos dun like number 13 haha.

From the books that I have read, the colour schemes, dimensions and material are not important in your house's feng shui.

Importance are place in the location of the Main Door, Bedrooms and Kitchen. The location is more important then the direction
