erm... normally the cash back should be based on posting date because if you make transaction during or just before statement out, it will based on the posting date that fall into the date that qualify for CB just like every other bank did.
but anyway it doesn't matter for me as my statement date is on 28 and someone said they cut off on 21, means what ever i spend after 21 will be CB on next month statement anyway.
*
I am confirmed many times by their "higher" management that it is indeed based on transaction date and not posting date. I know other banks are all based on posting date but apparently it is not the case for Ambank True Visa.

QUOTE(mamamia @ Aug 10 2018, 08:17 PM)
When is ur statement date? I suspect the cashback calculation is based on statement date and certain cut off date.. if u exclude 29 & 30th May txn, u will get RM6.59 cashback, maybe the last 2 txn cashback will be given in next cycle..
*
My statement date is 22nd of the month. i am firmed on saying that because of two reasons:

1) I got confirmation from higher management of Ambank Sales team regarding this true visa card
2) I do all the calculations of my cash rebate from the day i got my card in April 2018. All of the previous month followed transaction instead of posting date. If rebate for April, and May follows transaction date, it is hard for me to accept they can change it to posting date on June ?! bangwall.gif

I am furious as i have been given different answers again and again bangwall.gif

You need to know all bank use posting date rather than transaction date is because when your statement date is near and unable to post and calculate in your statement, therefore your cash back will be calculate on next month which posted after your statement date
*
Yes correct. I am fully aware of this and thats why i question Ambank Customer service again and again.

It happens everywhere…
Most of the CS are fresh and some didn't train properly and they are not competent enough to provide the answer to customer…
For me I always rely on TnC as this is the black and white from the company and they can't deny if any wrong doing

cry.gif cry.gif But even Ambank Complaint Dept staff is not professional and knowlegeable enough on their own product doh.gif doh.gif

We also expect as a moderator, moderator will be more professional n more careful in handling matters instead of just rely on CS. Just do more careful reading as the answer is there instead of blaming the poor CS. Always ask this; who benefit n who wins at the end.

Bro, i really do not get you? I Share my experience with you all as i do think that the objective of this forum is for sharing. I am unhappy as i was given different answers from different AMbank CS. I am just sharing what have been confirmed to me by Ambank Customer Service numerous time here as a guide to other forumers, i do not see what is the point you think that i am not professional enough to be a moderator?? If you are not happy with me, please complain to any LYN staff/ Admin. doh.gif

QUOTE(So2n @ Aug 11 2018, 11:14 AM)
Based on the T&C, rebate should be calculated based on calendar date posted into system. If you see your statement, there should be two date, one is posting date, another one is transaction date. The TnC abit confusing...coz it only mentioned purchase over the past calendar month, never mentioned based on posting date or txn date

Anyway, based on your transaction provided, total purchase until 21st May are RM219.50, which contribute to rebate of RM6.59 (3%).

Your rebate for transaction on 29th and 30th should be posted next month.

Based on this scenario, you just need to check if the posting date for transaction on 29th & 30th is in June. If yes, then it is based on transaction posting date ady.
*
Bro, the problem is i did not get that rebate in June 2018 rebate. That's why i am unhappy as their way of calculations seem to be differ every month doh.gif

We are not complaining but sharing our mind. Is that not acceptable? People learn n grow up. You can go many rounds calling who n who in Ambank because u missed a cb  blame in on Ambank misguiding u n gave u different answer.
*
That’s the point bro. I am just sharing my dissatisfaction on them for not being able to give me an absolute correct answer to my question. I just want a definite answer from them and so I can plan my usage of the card. I’m upset not becuz I missed a CB. Please don’t get me wrong.

I am upset becuz I got different ways of calculating my cash rebate every month! And yet none of the CS can give me a definite answer on why is it so ?

P/s : forum moderator is also normal human beings.

Kindly see the confirmation email from Ambank staff, confirming to me that True Visa cash rebate is calculated based on transaction date.

Exactly. Dont get me wrong. I just pointed out only. There are few replies from forumers telling u different ways of calcution n until someone kind enough go to distance to dig out the tnc. The whole point is dont just blame it to CS as they also human. We trust you can handle it better than most of us because you are badged as a moderator, i'm sure your may have gobe thru different training in how to do mederation n problem solving. Have a happy day.

I do think that each and everyone of the Ambank Customer Service shall be responsible of what they are saying to the customer.

If they do not know, they should tell me frankly they don’t know or have to refer their bos. I’m ok with it. However, they don’t! They just give me a 100% confirmation saying that what they told me is correct, until several days after, they called me again to tell me they were wrong earlier. What kind of professionalism here ?

I do understand human beings make mistake, but, they should understand the responsibility of their job as a customer service agent.

lol at the very least they took the effort to call back. some just forget it and move on
*
Bro sorry But I actually simplied it in the writing above. They call me back becuz I call Ambank again as the previous agent didn’t come back to me despite he promised. His name is Aideel. If you scroll back a few pages before this you would have read the issue I had.

I am writing this to share to all LYN forumers my bad experience in dealing with Ambank Customer service. If you guys think what I’ve been doing is too much and I should stop here. Well ok I will not post anything regarding this anymore!

P/s the limit to frustration is frustration-less and ignore lol 😆 I think I will cancel the card soon

Yes truly agreed. That’s why those who carried out unlawful act will be procecuted. Just like if a professional engineer who simply sign drawings, and if accident happen he has to bear 100% of the responsibility.

The same case here. I’m disappointed not becuz I lost the cash rebate, but becuz of the irresponsible customer service agent. This really tarnish the reputation of Ambank to me. I’ve never had any such encounters with another bank doh.gif

I will call to cancel my AmBank card tomorrow before SST is charged, it's just a VS as I didn't bother to apply the VI or WMC last year. Now I already have M2Premier, I don't want to keep any AmBank card anymore.

Moreover, they didn't remove my cancelled cards from CCRIS earlier, I was already not too happy about it.
*
Hey Sis, i am also planning to cancel my Ambank CC (True Visa) too as their 3% online cash rebate is so troublesome to claim ranting.gif

BTW, may i know how can i make sure that Ambank has totally remove the card from my CCRIS ? Is there a way for me to counter check after maybe 1 month of the cancellation??

Hmm. Your only way is to check your CCRIS. I have an online e-CCRIS which I registered at BNM, it's so convenient so I can check anytime I like. However, you must visit once to BNM to take biometric verification for registration purpose.
*
Ok thanks. Normally how long will it take to reflect in CCRIS, after we have cancelled the card officially ??

QUOTE(cylee32 @ Mar 10 2019, 01:04 PM)
Hi, I would like to apply Ambank True Visa, why you said the 3% online cash rebate is so troublesome to claim?
*
I have posted about this card in this thread before, some of the troubles and confusion i faced:

1) Inconsistent 3% rebate posting date
2) Unhelpful, Not Professional, Bad attitude Ambank Customer Service (at least that's what i experienced 10/10 times)
3) I have to call every month to claim my 3% rebate
4) Inconsistent advise from different customer service agents
5) Unfulfilled promises from customer service agents
6) Many more but im lazy to type it out (LOL whistling.gif )

Anyway, it is still a good card to give you 3% online cash rebate, but please, make sure you read their T&C very often (as they like to change it often and without proper notice to customer), and every communication with their service agent, please do it by email so that you have black and white copy for future reference.
