Hi there,

Which version of Winflash you were using when u did the flashing? Was it Winflash192? I would suggest you use Winflash184 as previously, I was using Winflash192 and it caused my BIOS to corrupt. Anyway, to ensure that it works, always try to backup your current BIOS with the Winflash software and monitor it whether does it hangs or not. If it doesnt, then you may proceed with the BIOS flashing. Hope that helps.

hi..
noob question here
how can this mobo can support e6400 when the max ram supported is ddr800(as shown in bios).
e6400 is 1066 bus speed which mean required ddr1066 right?

Hi Arafat,

DDR1066 is the real DDR speed.
To be exact, DD533 will do the job already if 1:1 is used. smile.gif

1066mhz (Quad pumped) ...so that relates to 266fsb speed. 266fsb too for ur dram (if u choose 1:1). Ur rated ram speed is 400mhz (ddr2 800)

For your info bro, I'm using this DFI P965-S Infinity Dark mobo with Intel E8400 45nm proc and Corsair Dominator TWIN2X2048-8500C5D G (2 X 1GB)kit
*NOTE: Mobo flashed to the newest BIOS (1.9.2008) for 45nm support

But I don't quite know how many vcore I need to increase for this old Intel P965 chipset mobo to OC CPU from stock 3.0Ghz to 3.6Ghz...
Anyone can help? unsure.gif Thanks! smile.gif

Anyone tried to fit a Xeon LGA771 X5450 to this board with success? I have this P965-s Dark which will try to resurrect it sine an i7-4770k is out of reached.

My BIOS is flashed to 1.09.2008 (think is the last update available). Do this mobo recognize the proc without going through any microcodes update to the current BIOS?
