QUOTE(ineser @ Jul 26 2022, 01:59 PM) Just wondering if RHB Smart Account will raise their interest rates or any other similar account in the market. What we're the RHB Smart Account interest rates pre-Covid? That should give an idea as OPR rises. sendohz liked this post

Guys, any idea how much does RHB Smart account's rates change based on OPR Hikes/Cuts? I noticed despite two rate hikes, they didn't adjust rates, unlike say OCBC, which has done so. Hinote liked this post

OCBC 360 now at 3.10%, HLB Pay & Save now at 3.05%.
Anyone have a historical movement of RHB Smart interest rates when OPR was falling? I’m just wondering why they’re not changing over the last 1.5 years since OPR has gone up 4 times now. |

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Jan 7 2023, 03:37 PM) No need. For max 3.35%, easiest combo is:1) Maintain RM1k avg throughout the month 2) Deposit at least RM2k 3) Pay 3 bills (RM1 payment to TNB x 3 times counts) 4) Spend RM1.0k with RHB cards Actually no scratch that, easiest way is pay 6 x RM1 to TNB account. No need bother with card spending as you will get an additional bonus of 0.75% for 6 bill payments. This post has been edited by contestchris: Jan 7 2023, 03:51 PM |

QUOTE(joice11 @ Jan 7 2023, 06:43 PM) what does" Consumer Banking Segment only" mean? I presume consumer banking means individuals like us (as opposed to business/commercial banking). i have shell credit card with RHB, can i just apply online? any fee charges? I'm not sure if you can apply online with just a credit card. I already had a RHB debit card (along with the Shell CC) and yes, I was able to apply online. They just retagged my primary for debit card from SA to CA. |

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Jan 7 2023, 05:52 PM) Is the RM2,000 deposit only required as a transaction record? meaning we can withdraw or use those funds any time? Yes you can withdraw anytime. It's just a transaction record. But beware, need to have average balance of RM1k/month. PS - CIMB also has a conditional high-yield account (up to 4.50% ) for those who sign up as their Prime customer - https://www.cimb.com.my/en/personal/promoti...d-campaign.html In any case, if you don't even have a an average balance of even a thousand Ringgit, quite pointless cause at that point any difference in interest rates is just a matter of a few cents. QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Jan 10 2023, 10:12 AM) long story short, get a basic savings account with no annual fee debit card. then open smart account via online (debit card with fees tagged to the account is optional). Yes bingo. Don't tell them anything about Smart Account.https://www.rhbgroup.com/personal/personal-...ount/index.html In my case I opened for my HL. Only later I created the Smart Account. See the two versions here: https://www.rhbgroup.com/personal/personal-...ount/index.html Sometimes they will bodo2 don’t know about the zero annual fee version since the bank obviously cannot earn fees in such a scenario. Threaten to report them to BNM and suddenly they will remember and allow. This post has been edited by contestchris: Jan 10 2023, 10:28 AM ineser liked this post

QUOTE(adele123 @ Jan 14 2023, 04:53 PM) for those using RHB smart account. Yes. The BASIC Smart Sccount features is still rm2k deposit, 3 bills and rm1k card spend.for 2023, the bonus interest is higher this year 1.8% for the deposit pay 3 bills +0.5% pay 6 bills +1.5% within your online banking or app, after paying 6 bills, the pay bill part will still say +0.5%. is this consistent with what you are seeing? just comparing notes to make sure. The BONUS features of 6 bills, rm2.5k card spend, mortgage etc are NOT captured in the app. |

QUOTE(joice11 @ Jan 25 2023, 06:35 PM) For rhb smart acc the additional interest is paid only after we fulfill all the task or upon each individu task? mean if i deposit rm2k on 1/1 for +1.8% but only complete pay 6 bill 15/1 for + 1%, i will get additional 1.8% start from 1/1 and additional 1% start from 15/1? or additional 2.8% from 15/1? anyone know how it actually calcurate? Calculation of all bonus interest will be for the full month regardless when you complete the taskThis post has been edited by contestchris: Jan 25 2023, 11:44 PM |
