 [MAXIS] Feeling cheated..., wrong package

On this date 17/09/2017, I went to the seberang jaya maxis centre to port in my number 017xxxxxx from WEBE to MAXIS. The front counter told me there is a special package for XXXX company employee which is zero commitment plan. This plan comes with nothing inside and contract for 2 years. It means every month pay nothing if dont use. Nowadays, every smart phones needs data...so i asked if we could add-on data. The answer is "YES", 1G for only RM18, 3GB for RM48. Then i choose 1G data for RM18.

After using a month, i received the 1st month bill. I was shocked, MAXIS charges me ~RM50(include GST). Here is the break down.
Bill - itemised (RM8)
GPRS 1GB Bundle (RM38.4)

I then call Maxis center to make a report.
This is the report number C19502783.

Feel very disappointed and cheated. Didnt get the exact package i sign up.

I have also filed a complaint to MCMC complaint portal
1017-01-0002079-MXS

Contract for 2 years, to pay "buta buta" for period of 24 months. mad.gif vmad.gif ranting.gif

you can cancel the itemized bill, change it to email.

the RM18 1GB become RM38.4... lol

I have already contacted the customer service to change it to email and requested for refund in the next billing cycle. TQ

unless everything promised to you during the time you signed up is written in black and white, it's hard to make a case.

If you are minimum usage user, and looking for pay per use. I think prepaid card is better option for you.

I transfer my number to this plan is to maintain the number. I add on 1GB is just for incase my current plan doesnt have coverage in certain regions.
Prepaid every month needs to top up RM30 to maintain.

This case easy lah, just change back to 1Gb and complain about 3Gb.

You are lucky, my experience when I started with Maxis was RM99 for data. Cancelled that after first bill.
