What did you use to convert?

I use ffmpeg, set the container to asf, vcodec to wmv1 / wmv2 , acodec to wmav / wmav2

I'd recommend WinAVIVideoConverter too, easy and straight to the point. thumbup.gif Also both River Past Video Cleaner and Xvid4PSP works better if u plan to encode to high bitrate 720p/1080p videos in any format. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah, it even works with external USB drives, as long as its fat32.
The 1 downside is FAT32 supports a max file size of 4GB only, which I learnt the hard way while transferring a HD movie sad.gif
So, you still gotta buy the external hardisk to play em HD WMVs...

Files larger than 4Gb, just stream from PC. Works that way. icon_rolleyes.gif

Converts to MP4, just pick the MP4 for PS3 profile and you're good to go. icon_rolleyes.gif

Once I had to use the lense blower to fix my drive. It was giving the "Unplayable Disc" error. So far so good sweat.gif

Yup and it really works! Picked up the tip from the official xbox forum. If you don't have that, a good blow with the mouth will work as well smile.gif
