Hi Dlink

I bought the Router DIR 842 about a month ago and lately the past few weeks I've been having issues with it. I can't access App store or do an ICloud backup on my Apple devices, i can't load up Lowyat.net and several other websites not even youtube using the mobile app even even after changing to Google DNS, and i keep having to reconfigure the internet setting every time I access the web UI for the router. Oh and the dns setting always reverts back when I access the web UI. The router is DIR-842 HW:C1 FW:3.01. I've tried restoring it to factory setting but to no avail. I'm on Unifi btw. Speedtest shows I’m getting about 45+ Down,18 up though (usually it’s 50+ down,20+ up). Any help would be much appreciated

edit: I found out that I can only access Lowyat.net forum and several other websites when using a VPN. this is even when using Google DNS. what is wrong with the router?
