air_mood, so how? you rackon you can gaather some players from your thread for this tribute game? Do let us know, I am eyeing the date 15th of Feb as 8th is still CNY and many would not be available. You keen? If everything is ok, then we'll proceed to book the courts.
Since this is a Man U tribute, we'll let you guys wear red while we'll come in white (most probably).
Please let us know early so we can book the courts first.

Trying not to sound like a /b/, but this line caused your whole post to fail. Blanket generalization for the lose, and using the bold word only meant that you don't know what you are talking about.

And I would suggest you have your brain checked - nothing personal eh , ha ha ha  biggrin.gif
If you have never played the game competitively , then how can you really talk about football .

How do you know what it is like to cut a ball back or cross and the diff between the 2 ?

It's like me talking about surfing from watching TV , not much credibility.

As for me , I dont support any team anymore Im just bored with the whole shiet.

but I see nothing wrong with local fans switching teams as long as it is not taken seriously .

I mean how can someone like you or some local MU fan feel so " emotional " about a team 6000 miles away in foreign land and foreign culture .

What the fcuk , some of these people talk like they were born / are living next to Manchester / liverpool / west london etc .

What a load of bullshiet .

This is of course a new media creation creating pseudo white morons , who will foverer be enslaved to the TV , exactly what the TV cocks want.

Oh and just my comments , remember nothing personal ......

Had a lot to say regarding the above posts, but then again, why bother, if you can't fathom why we are passionate about our club, then why you comr in here? We don't go to you "girls only" thread and shout abuse at you. Perhaps air_mood is right, you're just an ignorant cnut who doesn't respect other's and the other's opinion. And who knows, you might have a troubled childhood, or even isolated by football friends.

According to some of the posts which I couldn't be arsed to go through, we are all victims of this TV generated idiots who bought into the league because we are dumb. Yeah, we are, please tell me you DO NOT watch TV and would sit at home to recite prayers or write manuals on how to do whatever. As someone pointed out, the thread title says, REAL football fans, if you can fathom the idea, then leave the thread, no one asked you to come in, you came in here and couldn't understand what the fuss is going on and trust me you'll never do, then keep quiet and get the feck out, simple as that, if you want to post something, at least have the decency or respect to say that you're not a football fan and could not understand the fuss, you'll gain respect with that, instead, coming in shooting your moouth or finger off would not get you any respect.

To -Y-, perhaps your command of the language wasn't that strong, perhaps you are a bit confused, but all being said and done, we just could not understand how can someone can support 2 teams, and proclaim the dying love for both, just like saying "I love my wife but I love that woman who has big boobs too"... It's your decision, I accept it, but not necessary respect that. Also, we are not bullying you, just voicing our thoughts, if you're offended, I am sorry, from the bottom of me heart.

And to others who come in here merely to flame or cause trouble, FECK OFF CNUT!!!

Just read the whole thing again, in a calmer manner, the thing is that many would not understand the culture and they would never be. just leave it as that, if you felt left out, then perhaps you want to ask a few question, remember mate, this is FOOTBALL LOUNGE, not BE A CNUT LOUNGE, if you don't understand and can't understand what the fuss it is all about I suggest you leave it as that. On that matter, I have a mate who grew up in the vacinity of Highbury and would never step a foot in as he doesn't understand the fuss, he told me he loved football days because he gets extra onions on the burger at the stalls, that's all.

Also, we are not ganging up one anmyone here, I have not met air_mood, and just found out that he is just a young bloke that knows his stuff (by the way, you're younger than me youngest sister), the thing is that -Y- doesn't make half a sense with his post, as I suggested, he might be confused or bought into the media propoganda and just see it as it is, all this while having a career (succesful I hope, because I'd hate it if it is otherwise).

Look what I'm trying to say is to each his own, fine you support 2 or 3 clubs we thinkit's weird and cannot fathom that, you think it's normal, great, go on your merry way and not act like some higher being for supporting 2 clubs like it is the right thing to do, to you it might be, but to us it is not. Simple as that...

National teams? I personally supported Australia as I lived there for 6 years and having wore the green and gold in another sport representing them in the World University Games and another tournament, I feel more connected to them than any other National team...

Hmm...personal experience with the country eh? Well, I don't play much football or futsal (except on PC or consoles). Basketball, badminton, table tennis and volleyball are my games. So, I won't have much experience. But I started playing console really young and when my dad got me a football game, I played Brazil and never changed from that day onward. I was so hooked on Brazil and looked through their history and such, and even wished to go there someday - I still do (not least for the Samba gals  drool.gif ).
*
I didn't represent them in football or futsal, but another sport, Taekwondo. That;s why I'd support them in rugby, cricket, football or saussage tossing contest. Aussie through and through... flex.gif

Looks like it is getting out of hand here. -Y- & shah_ho_nam, I think you guys are taking things a little too personal here. The thing with football lounge is that you have to come in and show your worth and then respect will be given to you. There's no point going around asking others to respect you while mouthing off childish retorts and at the same time taking the arguement to a personal level. It is uncalled for, to bring out other things than football to mock or argue about. It has nothing to do with race, education, income level, even gender. As long as you know your football and can back up what you say, people will listen to you here.

Clearly many of us cannot understand how can a person who'd support 2 clubs wholeheartedly, perhaps we can't do it, you can and good for you, the thing is that you haven't backed it up with proper arguement rather than the respect other's opinion rants. I would suggest that both of you take a bit of a break, think about what are you going to write and back it up properly, who knows if you talk a good game, you might even gain the respect here, rather than being the joke that is at the moment.

Many of us would only support a club and not look at another club in even another league, we might admire the way another team plays or another player that is good, but everytime they play my team, I'd want them to lose and get slaughtered. Appreciating good football and admiring other team is slightly different from suporting both teams. I thought you guys were clouded between the two but I was clearly wrong, you DO support both teams, or 3 teams. With a common theme in it, Gabriel Batistuta for -Y-. Perhaps you like the player more than the team, therefore you'd like the team to do well too, I don't know I am just speculating here.

For you info, Gabriel Batistuta is one of the players I have a lot of respect for, who stuck by Fiorentina even when they got relegated to Serie B, for someone like him, it's not hard to find another team who'd take him in a flash, his love for the team and the fans is too great to walk away. Even when he left for Roma, he told the team that he would like to win the league and if the team had the chances to, he would stay and fight for it, but they weren't in that position and the fans actually cheered him on and wished he'd win the league with Roma. His status as a Fiorentina legend were cemented when he scored the only goal in one of the games against Fiorentina that season and refused to celebrate, instead he walked back to the centre circle, with tears in his eyes, very clearly to be seen by all in the ground and around the world watching on TV. I have outmost respect for players like that. Another one is Dennis Law who scored the goal to relegate Man U whole playing for Man City and had tears in his eyes while doing so. That doesn't mean I support Man U or Man City, I admire them certain qualities in the team, player or success on the pitch. I hope you get my drift and not launch into one of your now infamous rants that is, quite frankly, a little hard to understand.

Please understand I am not trying to rile you up or anything, just trying to get a better perspective of the whole situation and hopefully get a proper reply and reasoning from you rather than shooting your mouth off pissing a lot of people off. Unless that is the original intention of yours, then I suggest you reconsider coming into this place as not to disturb the others. If your intention is to discuss and argue about football, trust me, air_mood and I had countless arguements about all things football, then you are welcomed here with open arms, as long as you back your arguements up with proper facts and thoughts.

NOt really 8 paragraph, but I think that'll do for now... icon_rolleyes.gif

There's an old fool contaminating this thread with loads of his usual antics. Check out his post in other threads. He has been blasted by almost everyone, including the Staff and Moderators. He thinks that he is just simply better than others and is allowed to disrespect others. And when others confront him with his contemptuous rudeness, he goes on being childish. He is definitely not a football fan, and I think you all know who I meant. Ignore that fool.

Actually I do enjoy the "battle" with the person, not sure about others, call me sick but everytime I read his post, makes me laugh so hard that it actually destress me a little. whistling.gif

QUOTE(osaka09 @ Jan 23 2008, 08:40 PM)
Im a member since 2003. Cos I don't wanna jeopardize my real id by sent this post. This is what i felt bout football. Football is universal. All I can say is ppl have their own opinion. Why they love football. How they grow with influence of football. so choices can effected from time to time.

When im was young, im one of the catalans. Coz of my late father. we love football. we even been there when real v barca once. I also have my own Johan Cruijff jersey. But time change. When im older, Ive change team. I choose the red devil. I watch my first match when man utd visit japan for friendly match (when I was studyng there) Ive been to old trafford couple of time. Including Milan v man u last year. and of coz I even I buy original utd merch. Am I saying im 'real' fan? No. I think not.. im rather not claiming im real fan.

The reason im here. Im quite annoyed wit some of u people claim urselves as 'real' fan. Know a little bit of history, buy fake merch. & so on. Then, claim that he/she is a real fan. I don't think so. Youngsters now days.. they are really disgrace. It make me laugh when some of this forummer (claimed to be real man utd fan) out of nothing flame couple of the forummer. including other forummer also. It is really hilarious to see this guy got angry. you sure got some brain but I cannot resist to say you also childish + im might say u r a poser. At the same time claiming he is the 'real' fan. I think what we should do is respect other fans & their teams as we respect ours. Im a lecturer in private college. Which mean im a teacher. But I NEVER said - IDIOT  to any of my students. It is really harsh word. he think he s really something. Really smart guy I think. but actually it reflected ur childhood. how u were raised. maybe it is custom in your family to say some one idiot.

Im married n my 2nd child will come next couple of months. I actually don't want to involve with this tread actually. Really childish. But for -y- & ho nam. I really glad u stand up for ur right & coz u r honest. i know some of the forummer also have a couple of team to cheer. but afraid to say coz of ths ppl. But what I can say to both of u, you just make yourselves stupid by keep replying ths 'real' fan post. Just ignore them. According to them, we made r sinner coz we have couple of team. So as for me, im a man utd, selangor (hometown), & gamba osaka (used to stay there for 5 years). Which makes me 3 clubs. so?

all i can say is.. Just enjoy football. and pls dont disgrace man u.

pls dont condemn my english. as we never use english in japan. cheers..  thumbup.gif

I thought the issue is dead?

To be honest, as mentioned by a few people, one is entitled to their own opinion. The fact is that we, myself and air_mood do not understand how can someone can support two teams, perhaps I am not that enlighten or I am just a narrow minded fool compare to them who can see the brighter side of things.

However, I think it started when air_mood mentioned how he can't fathom why one can do that, albeit in a tone that not everyone understands, I see it as sarcasm, others might take it in the literal meaning, therefore took offense to it. And then it just blew up when Y & Sha just went on this abusive streak offending everyone, bringing out matters that is not being discussed here, which I think is uncalled for.

Anyway, all said and done, what I'd like to say is that please do keep the arguement relevant and not birng out issues such as education, family, upbringing as well as other things, these are things that would ruin a good discussion / arguement. As mentioned to both Y and Sha, it's their inability to justify or present a good arguement that makes us think they are posers, rather than the fact that they supports two teams.

I think we need to take the verx route on this Jonno. Ignore them and let them have their fun. If people who are what 27, 28 insists on doing so, what hope is there for the ones who are still in school ehh?? Just don't expect to be respected or celebrated for it. And as I pointed out, they are lucky that they are in this forum. Go into a proper club forum, they won't last.

Don't think anything can be achieved, except people throwing out cynical comments I suppose. Saying they don't like so and so, while not daring to name who the person is. I got myself quite a hate list on this thread ehh??? Hahaha. Might have bothered me had this been real life, but seeing that this is an internet forum, it makes me laugh really.
*
Agreed, by the way, if they are 27. 28 then I have nothing to say. Their behaviour beffles me. hmm.gif

While not giving me age away, my youngest sister is older than you mate, so I am one of the old farts... biggrin.gif

Hmm...let's steer away from that. Let's discuss: Do real fans diss their own manager/players? I know I do that to Saha (all the time) and Brown (sometimes)...does that make me less of a fan?
*
Good move...

To me, a real fan would not back down when the team / player is not giving their / his best on the field and would make it known to them. However, they would always back them up when the "others" diss the player or team. It's one of those things.
