Kimi finish in top 10 again. Watching the front is really a bore thses days. Midfield is where the action is.

When Kubica hit the corner, I thought the corner was really a really precise corner, could happen to anyone, just that he clipped the wall, thats why he crashed. Then I saw Leclerc kinda confirmed it. But Leclerc locked up instead of clipping the wall.

Forget the top 3, Kimi took points again for Alfa Romeo starting dead last and from the pits.

I don't think CL deserves the DoD. I think VB deserves it more as he managed to fend off LH. I think if not for the quali mistake CL would be able to challenge closer than SV but not sure if he can really win it unless he really got front row grid. Nobody will ever know.

I also don't buy that Ferrari is as fast as has been hyped up all this time. Even if they might be faster but by just a small margin which can easily get overturned by Mercs with better driving and strategy. I actually think Mercs is still very much on par if not the better package overall than Ferrari.

I agree, first corner already earn him DoD imo.

why do people hate on lance stroll? sure hes a pay driver and his dad bought an f1 team but he won f3 championship and bags a podium in baku, also front row start in italy in his rookie year. if you go on a reddit post about lance stroll lots of comments will point out that his daddy buys his seat and ocon deserves his seat. quite annoying.

Ocon is better than Perez

Racing season this year is mostly boring so far with only MotoGP still ok. F1 dominated by Mercs, Australian Supercars also dominated by the Penske Mustang, WSBK dominated by Bautista.

Jonny Rea won this weekend, and race 2 cancelled because of rain.

I'm not sure about others; myself, although I'm a long-time Ferrari fan (since 1999), even if Mercedes is dominating, as long as the racing is close and many overtakings and uncertain strategies, I'll consider the race isn't boring.  But like football matches, some are snoozefest.

Even if I don't want to see Lewis win another WDC, I've to admit he is one of the greats, especially in qualifying. This season, I rather see Valtteri Bottas win WDC if Ferrari & Red Bull can't catch up.

Asides from a top team, usually I'll support another mid-field team and maybe an underdog team, depending on the driver or manufacturer.  E.g. this season I like to see Renault to be best of the rest, coz maybe due to Daniel Alvocado.  Alfa Romeo, I think can categorize as underdog, not really mid-field team but I like to see Kimi scoring points.  So, if the race leader is way ahead, the TV director usually will cut to closer racing in the mid-fields. Plus, the commentators must be good.

Hoping for better closer racing after 2021 major regulation changes.

Martin Brundle is rubbish and biased, Paul Di Resta gives better commentary.

Strange, Toto issued rare statement their car has more potential and no fear of Red Bull and Ferrari challenge! This contradicts to previous Ferrari is faster, Ferrari is powerful theme...

I never listen to Toto, most of the times he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Takuma Sato is enjoyable to watch. Didn't realize he's already 42 & one of the top drivers in Indycar.

F1 is too British biased these days especially by commentators. Signs are when they call drivers by their last name but one by his first name.

Nope, I only care how good they are when already in F1 because many were very good in lower formulas yet when arrived in F1 they're just so-so hence over hyped by their success in those lower classes. Ocon was not miles better than the average Perez, hence that's why I think he's not that special.
*
Not miles better but still slightly better or on par at least, Perez been there too long was even picked up by mclaren(and dropped).

No lah ... they just pity Mercedes didn't get any points at own home race, and their 125th motorsport anniversary ... somemore, they've dressed up so nicely already.  tongue.gif
They did gave LH 5 seconds penalty, but escaped the Safety Car infringement (not purposely driving slow, becoz of the slow pit stop to replace front wing).

Next time in Monza, the stewards will favour Italian teams instead ... maybe.  biggrin.gif
*
Still I think LH should get 5 sec stop and go penalty or at least drive thru. I mean he practically crossed the track to get to the pits. That's pretty dangerous especially considering the wet conditions.
