Too bad SC for Mercedes... RB benefit the most since CL dropped from 1st to 4th, and SP went from 4th (and needing a pitstop) to 2nd place.
CL biggest loser and also LH maybe losing a chance for 1st or 2nd. |

I think CL might take an offer from Mercedes in 2 years time assuming LH still racing next year.

QUOTE(amdxp @ Jul 4 2022, 12:26 AM) Yup, without SC, LH would have a sniff at 2nd or 1st, as CS was told to save fuel, and CL has front wing damaged. CL might leave Ferrari. I think he's being fuck bad left right center. A car with front wing damage is faster than an accident free car. I think Ferrari is giving back to CS after asking him to let CL through, but Ferrari might be racing among themselves than RB or Mercedes. Ferrari threw away a possible 1-2. |

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Jul 4 2022, 12:58 AM) focus on WDC already since the last time they lost by 1 point 2 the eventual 7x in 2008 still hurts badly despite winning constructor If only the racist 3x former wdc son didn't succumbed to Flavio Briatore request.even alonso / vettel still cannot saves Ferrari being WDC some how r2t2 liked this post

Ferrari Stefano Domenicali : Fernando is faster than you, do you copy... Ferrari Mattio Binotto : Dont complain about race strategy |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jul 4 2022, 01:58 AM) Brawn era Ferrari was so cunning and ruthlessly focused on winning. They didn't care even to deny RB his 1st win as long as they maximize their chance of title winning. You know what... I might have found the answer.Google is the king. ![]() 6UE5T liked this post

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jul 4 2022, 07:52 PM) Sources reported CL raged to Ferrari during debrief! He needs to be careful cuz Ferrari historically never allows such behaviour. Welcome to Mercedes... I think Mercedes needed a good driver now, something explosive. Lando is a good driver as well but I do think he lacked the ferocity that a champion has to have. Charles perfectly fit the bill IMO.https://thejudge13.com/2022/07/04/leclerc-r...ari-in-debrief/ Leave Ferrari to those Sunday driver like CS with their boring strategy. It seems like Red Bull and possibly Ferrari are playing with flexing floor which explained how they have almost zero porpoising. How much will it slow them down... this would be interesting in the next couple of races if RB starts to porpoise.
https://www.planetf1.com/news/mercedes-shoc...exi-floor-hint/ I wonder if this is also how Alpine turn their porpoising on and off. This post has been edited by andrekua2: Jul 5 2022, 03:56 PM |

QUOTE(voscar @ Jul 5 2022, 10:28 PM) I'm no engineer. I think it's not about the floor also but more on the plank. QUOTE(PowerSlide @ Jul 5 2022, 11:26 PM) merc suckcess build around lewis, once he retire can see the end Mercedes flex master? I think front wing... But Red Bull more geng with the rear wing flex last season. Honestly front wing flex is common but depending on how severe. Rear wing flex is not common which is why RB starting to slow when it was taken away. It's strange how some of the design goes really. Like RB always seems to have problem with rear wing. Flex or drs flapping. I wonder if rear wing can gain more than front wing flex.this whole drama merc the flex master complain about some "team" flex too much..so weird lol This post has been edited by andrekua2: Jul 6 2022, 01:33 AM |

QUOTE(4WD_er @ Jul 6 2022, 10:07 AM) A win was taken away from him, what do you think he will react ? Ferrari is choosing the winner here... so no one to blame really. This is a preference game. Maybe Ferrari see Charles as being a possible candidate to replace Lewis and Mercedes will try to spanar him in the next 1-2 years. Hence they are going all-in with CS just to be safe.Just like a win was taken away from LH in last Abu Dahbi, what do you think his supporters will feel ? For CL, there is no reason why Ferrari choose to pit the slower driver who is also lower in drivers' standing in term of point, instead of CL. Don't make sense at all. QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jul 6 2022, 10:20 AM) Binotto said they worry LH and RB didn't pit hence sacrificing the lead position, and they thought the softs will drop off fast like in Canada. Total bullshit... Silverstone is one of the track that is pretty ok on tyres despite the high speed nature of the track. Most of the time, they are doing 1 stop here. Just sometimes graining but hardly anything huge on tyres to be honest. This post has been edited by andrekua2: Jul 6 2022, 10:45 AM |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jul 6 2022, 12:48 PM) Well Silverstone used to blow out tires on the hangar straight, remember? If I recall correctly LH was limping on 3 wheels after tire failure to win in 2020, right? Anyway this year car/tire spec and size is different than before and that's modern Ferrari F1 team, not good on aggressive strategies and inclines toward conservative side. That's different. That time was a structure failure aka the sidewall compromised after riding the kerb too aggressively. Grip wise not affected. |

QUOTE(PowerSlide @ Jul 6 2022, 04:49 PM) Hard to say split second decision. How many seconds was there before SC was deployed? I believed at least 10s. That's like light years in F1. Dont tell me they dont have personnel watching those scene? The fact that they can react for CS who is just 3s behind CL said it all. |
