GR said he wanted wet race but I wonder. The Merc is the only one using 2laps warmup during qualy... Will the Merc be able to fire up their tyres?

The cars have outgrown Monaco. Is there any sucessful overtake other than Gasly on inter while others on extreme wet?

QUOTE(6UE5T @ May 30 2022, 09:52 AM) Ferrari tried to protest but in vain. Lol Kinda surprising that Ferrari protested. https://www.planetf1.com/news/ferrari-prote...-result-stands/ Back in Schumi days, he had a couple of close calls. It was even explained back then that the left/right tyre width (depending where the pit was) had to fully crossed the line to be deem illegal. If still on it, it was borderline okay. So why are Ferrari complaining? |

QUOTE(wong_86 @ May 30 2022, 10:25 AM) My opinion Monaco should not be renew in next few years unless there track modfication, but Manaco GP is oldest in F1 history, 79 times, is a crown jewel for every F1 driver, everyone'dream is to get Monaco title. Who dare to initiate it though? Back then Monaco was the land where F1 arrived to please or court their sponsors. Is it still the same case today? RalphRatedR liked this post

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jun 13 2022, 08:49 AM) GR would race and LH said he also will race next week but yeah he looked in much pain after comimg out of the car. Just saw some videos on reddit... seems like the Lewis's Mercedes is bouncing a lot even before the straights. https://www.reddit.com/r/F1Technical/commen...t_him_into_the/ https://twitter.com/revvinuk/status/1535985843239800833 Slow-mo of Mercedes floor scrubbing the tarmac in Baku vs RB... QUOTE(voscar @ Jun 14 2022, 06:44 PM) Walrus Williams BMW design during early 2000s also like that, but they ditch it in mid season when found not working. I think Mercedes version works to a certain extent. If the surface is smooth like butter aka Barcelona, it works like charm. Just like in their wind tunnel, smooth and not bumpy, it works. Meanwhile Mercedes still believe in sidepod-less design and stubborn stay with it I think they just need to rework their approach. Their car is still low rake which I think make the matter worse. All the other cars already moved on to high rake last year and I think this factor alone is the culprit for their extreme porpoising. Instead of rethinking a new formula to make it work, they focus solely on limiting the porpoising through stiffer suspension. Yes, they reduced the porpoising but car become very stiff and too low. Even riding curb could cause harm to their floor. |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jun 16 2022, 01:07 PM) CL engine cannot be salvaged so trouble at ferrari in the 2nd half as they would surely need a 4th or even 5th engine, meaning 2 grid penalties are looming in this season. They can get a couple new engine and then turn the damn thing up. Still can salvage 2nd or 3rd depending on circuit.https://scuderiafans.com/baku-ferrari-ice-a...ot-be-salvaged/ |

QUOTE(voscar @ Jun 17 2022, 09:36 PM) Leclerc himself also need to do Hamilton's superb Silverstone trademark touching rear tyre of Max, causing him to crashes while he getting win, lol. No need. I think Lewis was annoyed by Max's over aggressive driving last year that forced him not to yield into Copse. If Max was driving like 2022, I don't think they will race like that. |

Kinda love it though... I think they have to solve it.
I mean when Mercedes having fun with party mode, then FIA came and took it away with standardised ecu. They get DAS but then it got banned. If majority of the field is suffering from porpoising, then FIA might as well standardised a working floor that wont porpoise. |
