QUOTE(voscar @ Sep 11 2022, 11:42 PM) Someone pointed the differences between Red Bull Verstappen and Mercedes Lewis when come to safety car handling: Mercedes and Lewis too concerned on the leading position, fear of unable to overtake later, so continue without going for pitstop. Happened twice and still same decision... Red Bull and Max, not giving a damn on the leading position, just come in for pitstop, in Max we trust he'll overtake back anyone, year 2021 and year 2022 also same decision... Perhaps Red Bull starting 2021 is already a dominant car while Mercedes and Ferrari just hanging around trying hard for luck. 2021 redbull got nothing to lose. 2022 redbull gap so big that it doesn't matter what decision they made.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 2 2022, 12:42 AM) Podium would be easy for him, winning could be 50/50. If tomorrow is wet again, 70% chance he could win it with LH as his main challenger. i think if today rain again, we have chance to see others as winner instead of max. if dry, 99% max. you can see how fast was max during that last qualifying when the track was dry. too bad not enough fuel

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 2 2022, 01:39 PM) In the wet his speed is actually much higher than most and he could get up to speed much quicker too. He was fast when track already drying BUT still got damp patches which actually made it more tricky as they're already on slick. That's where his natural talent gives a bigger advantage. All the top champs like Senna, MS, and LH were excellent in wet and tricky conditions, way above the rest and it seems MV too getting into this category. I hope so too! Lol Not saying he's not good in wet conditions but that last lap, he was flying...really flying way above the rest. So, i think in dry condition, he's quite untouchable. Was hoping that in wet, he might need to control abit that beast machine

If the reason because of the tire due to the 1 stop strategy, really feel sorry for george. He drove magnificently. But question here, why didn't the fia weight the car before the race start? What's the logic weighting the car post race?

QUOTE(yhtan @ Jul 29 2024, 05:02 PM) This is weird, how come LH car weight is above limit while GR car is below limit. Did Mercedes tweak GR car to have lesser weight? They think it's because of the tires. Since george doing a 1 stopper, the tires end up more botak than a 2 stopper. Hence, the total weight is lighter. But it's not conclusive.
