QUOTE(6UE5T @ Apr 29 2019, 03:46 PM)
I don't think CL deserves the DoD. I think VB deserves it more as he managed to fend off LH. I think if not for the quali mistake CL would be able to challenge closer than SV but not sure if he can really win it unless he really got front row grid. Nobody will ever know.

I also don't buy that Ferrari is as fast as has been hyped up all this time. Even if they might be faster but by just a small margin which can easily get overturned by Mercs with better driving and strategy. I actually think Mercs is still very much on par if not the better package overall than Ferrari.

Agreed. I think there is a straight line advantage (and quite possibly a very slight one at that) for the Ferraris but that's about it. Mercs definitely seem to a handy upper hand in downforce. If Ferrari does not find improvements before Barcelona, they're probably gonna be trounced laugh.gif

Only watched the start until the first round of pit stops. Ferrari has to be embarrassed by their start to the year. Having your closest rivals to finish 1-2 for 5 races is bad enough but not challenging for the top 2 in all but 1 race is even worse.

Because now Toto knows after the first 5 races, Ferrari no pace, power and strategy. LOL!

omg, i've never seen Mercedes not suffering on Monaco track, 1st time they were in front AND dominated by such a huge margin!
this mercedes seems to conquer most tracks except Bahrain! I guess upcoming could be Belgium and Monza tracks where Ferrari could challenge the Mercedes?

As long as Ferrari can’t make the tyres work like how Mercs does it, then they won’t win. Won’t be surprised if Max gets ahead of both Ferraris come qualifying time. RB has been strong in Monaco for the past 2 years.

Bottas gives me an impression of a really loyal number 2 driver...like how Massa was. Lol.
But really i would love to see him top Hamilton but it has to be done at the first corner because we know how Monaco races go after lap 1.

Lol, apart from VB, the names considered to replace him leaves a lot to be desired. Even DR might be a better consideration than the ones named.

Data analysis from Formula 1 website says Merc has the advantage on race pace though.

Got source? I want to see the Top Speed listing, can't find it. Unlike Motogp official site provide everything transparent

Why care about top speed so much? The overall lap time is more important

In all seriousness, this is only the 2nd race this year that Ferrari were genuinely faster than Merc. Looks like they need some long straights and a hot day. Lol

Time for everybody to move on i guess. The fact is still Ferrari are well behind Merc. Lets see whether they can salvage anything in P3 and Q.

Long runs data analysis from P2 suggest that Merc are averaging about 0.5s faster than the rest. Most probably another boring race unless something drastic changes overnight

LH not competitive? Lol don’t worry he usually shows up on race day. In any case, should be a good fight for pole later. Hope CL gets pole and wins the race tomorrow. He deserves a win at least this year.

No penalty la. Come on. Pity CL though. He defended really well but MV had the advantage for a few laps. Would have been tough to defend all the way to the finish anyway

Read a headline somewhere that Silverstone track has been resurfaced. Didn't bother reading the article because most likely Mercs are favourites to win this one anyway.

LH well on his way to grab a 6th title. After that, it’s 1 more to tie MS and 2 more to beat him. Easiest way to do that is to stay at the most dominant team which is where he is now
