Looks like the Ferrari performance is much better this week... only a bit weak on corner/turn. Too bad vettel will start from 5th.

Wtf Hamilton played roller coaster is it? First corner sunk till bottom it's suppose to be game over...
Ferrari straight-line speed really like a Boss, is the extra 40hp back in this race?

So when the "ultimate" Ferrari performance restored, Mercedes back to panicked situation...
bad strategy... tyre cannot lasted due to overworked... team order twice etc... it's fun to see Mercedes no longer has horsepower advantage and panicking when Ferrari challenging them, haha

Yeah, true. They were thinking to do something different to Kimi to give Lewis a better shot at winning. Just didn’t work out. But anyway, means nothing much except for restoring some Ferrari pride. The inevitable will happen in Mexico, unless Lewis has a stinker of a race...which rarely happens

Let's hope for engine kaput like Sepang

Ah ya  my bad!  laugh.gif
Well he should've won back in Monaco 2017 if Ferrari did not stitch him up to favor Seb. Monza he could've won too if not for Ferrari to mess up the pit timing. It's just a pity that the win came too late hence Ferrari had decided to let him go.

Toto's face, well that's just small disappointment because they have to keep the victory champagne and t-shirts under wrap for another race but nothing like disastrous disappointment.

I think Max honestly did not know.

yeah, this year merc will enjoy their last championship for v6 hybrid turbo engine era.
next year will be ferrari glory year, it will take a few years for competitor to catch-up with their holy PU power.

Mercedes removed their "illegal trick" aka modified wheel rim prior Austin race, fear of Ferrari protest, no wonder their car chewing tyre rubber like nobody business...

But actually FIA already clarify that the wheels are still legal. Ferrari can protest all they want but they loose the championship by their own fault, especially the driver.

Mercedes's trick also helped, imagine previous 3 races Hamilton's rubber cannot lasts, he would not able to maintain his pace and may not won.

Great lap from Ric to steal Max's thunder! The RBs are fast over a lap but they might be vulnerable on the straights from the Mercs & Ferraris, so yeah can be an interesting race. I'm hoping it will be hot again as in FP1-3 so that the Mercs will have overheating issue so cannot use their full power, maybe even a blown engine from Ham? laugh.gif
*
Yeah, Mercedes engine is notorious of failure and not reliable since Hakinnen era. Bottas already blew one during free practice. Another engine failure coming soon, hehe

FIA shall rename to MIA lar... Mercedes International Alliance
Ocon was driving a Mercedes-powered PU, who knows if Mercedes controlled and make his car suddenly so powerful since this happened before?

While Hamilton on another hand limiting engine output to avoid failure. Are we watching driver-controlled F1 or engineer-controlled F1? whistling.gif

They put a sausage kerb on the inside of that corner. That kerb caused the car to fly

Other accidents caused by kerb

Earlier this year already got similiar crash in IndyCar. Driver end up  temporarily paralyzed

What a boring race! thought Ricciardo would give Verstappen some hard time, but only managed to follow 2s gap...
Vettel got Fastest Lap on penultimate lap, why not drive faster earlier on to challenge Hamilton?
Bottas 5th, pretty much sum-up his driving quality of this season... behind top drivers, maybe on-par of Kimi, but Kimi is better having won a race this season, haha.

Dont think any unknown teams can challenge mercedes superiority even adrian newey best brain also cannot beat mercedes laugh.gif laugh.gif

Honda VTEC-powered Red Bull next year may be? Who knows if Honda sorted out the huge power deficit and with Newey's best chassis and Verstappen's bravery overtaking, they may challenge the sole Hamilton-led Mercedes Team. Haha

Almighty Ferrari dominated the 2 days testing. Next year Leclerc vs Vettel? Mercedes and Red Bull so far off pace almost 2 second behind.

Mercedes met setback on engine development:

Ferrari might need to hire psychologists for Vettel. He sometimes crumble under pressure. Being a racing driver isn't all quick & skill.

Verstappen has spoken, he Vettel Alonso Ricciardo will be world champion if they are driving Mercedes. Now this is not a car problem, it's psychology belief trusting the brand ala driving a Mercedes will give you have best PU and team mindset. Used to be the case for Ferrari but no longer anymore...

Ferrari at least 0.5s ahead of Mercedes! Now they have secret weapon on engine power, front wing, and rear lowered during high speed runs! Wow, what a revolution.

Mercedes just responded, Hamilton on 3rd in morning session, running on softer C4 tyre, but not impressive enough..
Quote: "Ferrari on c3 was only 1 tenth slower than Mercedes on c4 faster tyre and surprisingly Renault were an equal for Mercedes in c4. "

The Toro Rosso Honda seems fast(and reliable), really a kick in the face for McLaren. Renault also pretty strong. And again, Sauber pace quick and consistent despite Kimi saying he is not pushing the car yet. Hopefully we get a lot of different winners this season.

Hoping Mercedes to become backmarker this season like Williams 2018, hehe.

Combined test times
https://www.crash.net/f1/results/913670/1/b...-times-combined

Mercs is actually faster than Ferrari with Renault and TR as top 3. So yeah, it proves nothing can be proven by just testing times!
*
After lap time corrected by Pirelli with tyre factor-in, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and Haas far ahead yo!

Could be this year Mercedes racing with Renault and Red Bull for Formula 1.5 biggrin.gif
