QUOTE(SaberCortez @ Oct 9 2017, 02:37 PM) Cause Malaysian company kedekut. I know cause I am in that line, Fresh grad score 18/20 on a test get 2.8k, senior software engineer do the same test get 12/20 get 6k salary. After 3 months the senior got sacked while the fresh grad workload = the senior workload+ fresh grad workload. It's the truth. No appreciation for talent. Haha, maybe those senior already towards team lead/high level programming....not much on coding d, they just assign the tasks to junior and perform code reviews.... at the end, all those coding/dirty works will be passed to junior...

QUOTE(zacx @ Oct 9 2017, 04:19 PM) What this means?? Does that mean they have to work much longer to reach that salary??? Depends I guess, I got high salary from the get go, but I had to prove myself to get the salary. QUOTE(KimiLau @ Oct 9 2017, 04:28 PM) Haha, maybe those senior already towards team lead/high level programming....not much on coding d, they just assign the tasks to junior and perform code reviews.... at the end, all those coding/dirty works will be passed to junior... The senior don't even know how to use the database or do crystal report. Wtf passing job to junior when they can't even code a single function. More like talk cock about theory knowledge etc but they can't perform in actual production. The team I was working with have a few Principal Engineer which is higher than the senior, then junior, then intern. The highest position is the manager. In this structure, the senior still have to code lol. The company keep hiring senior developer who can't perform lol.

Work in construction industry here
My boss had just employ a fresh Degree holder Quantity Surveyor for 15,000 THB per month, there is plenty to choose from.
He is now looking for a Project Manager with a budget of 100,000 THB per month.
Work ethic and attitude of Thai worker is shiat.
