Got one local Thai food restaurant taukeh partner with a Thai, who is also a programmer.

Even though the local POS software can masuk Thai character but we is having difficulty talking to their staff because they all speak only Thai.

Ended up the programming partner code his own POS software in just few days time.

Ayam is amaze.

According to the local taukeh partner, his Thai partner pay is already > RM 10k

If your assumption is only based on software engineer's salary, it is a bit premature to declare 'Bangkok salary > KL Salary, Do you feel cukur?? 50% higher!!!' don't you think?

Cause Malaysian company kedekut. I know cause I am in that line, Fresh grad score 18/20 on a test get 2.8k, senior software engineer do the same test get 12/20 get 6k salary. After 3 months the senior got sacked while the fresh grad workload = the senior workload+ fresh grad workload. It's the truth. No appreciation for talent.

So Bangkok > KL.....

Those people also cause the market to drop. Now very hard for me to demand salary, thank god now I am in a good company, at least after this project, I know can get increment. In my previous company, I work almost every day and still get peanut.

Not only apply to salary, it apply to everything as well. I'm now in trading business.
The product used to have a margin of RM 500. But due to some people that are willing to sell themselves cheaply, the margin now shrink to a mere RM 100.

Depends I guess, I got high salary from the get go, but I had to prove myself to get the salary.

The senior don't even know how to use the database or do crystal report. Wtf passing job to junior when they can't even code a single function. More like talk cock about theory knowledge etc but they can't perform in actual production. The team I was working with have a few Principal Engineer which is higher than the senior, then junior, then intern. The highest position is the manager. In this structure, the senior still have to code lol. The company keep hiring senior developer who can't perform lol.
