You're talking about Portrait Photography or Fashion Show?

That the thing, i justed flash and the minyak all appeared. In that case my ques is:

1. which lens will be ur recommendation for potraits/chick shots? Will kit lense helps?
2. Also my next ques is what is the optimum shutter speed for potrait pics?

Pc fair and promoters/models in car shows. Quick teach b4 the upcoming ultimatestreet tuners this weekend!

The kit lens definitely helps but it's not THE lens for all occasions. I would recommend a 50mm but it can range from Rm200+ to about Rm6000+ depending on how many f-stops you can afford

There is no optimum speed for portraiture, I've almost used up the entire shutter speed range during my shooting years of shooting portraits and everything depends on the shooting environment and what you wanna produce.

I will be at Street Tuners and plan to be there at least for the weekends. Wanna meet up there?

Cool, i plan to come in that weekend as well. What day u will be coming?

I think this could be a new challenge to me coz it will be my 1st outdoor event in night, furthermore i using a kit lens D40 with no speedlight.

nice one on those penang pics dude

i kinda like the composition.. but it would be better if the beach pictures were taken at the 'golden hour', sunrise or sunset.. it'll be more dramatic and meaningful....keep searching..
