same... 3rod still appear.. but sometimes can go in... once I'm play game the game freeze...
no error code showing..... and reset the 3rod blinking.....

freezing during a game is highly suspected being caused by the overheat GPU VGA RAM. that's what happen to Ghostdevice console and it's quite difficult to fix it. sweat.gif You need to make sure the RAM chip that hidden below the GPU heat sink having a contact to the heatsink itself. You also can put xtra RAM heat sink to the rest 2 pieces beside the GPU chip. you also need to put a support below the GPU and CPU chipset either using a penny trick or rubber trick (this to make sure the air ventilate properly below the board and also good to avoid the mobo to bend a lot during hot condition). but be careful with the height dimension.. adjust it following the height of your screw which holding the heat sink. If still cannot solve the problem try readjust the pressure of the GPU and CPU screw.. this method need a lot of try until you find a perfect setting thumbup.gif And of course adding a xtra fan helping to make sure this chip in cool condition.

Dreamy.. congrats!! rclxms.gif but how come you said the console become more hotter? or do you mean the air come out from the back of the console become more hotter? Is that is the case than its a good news.. now you can assure that all the heat from those GPU and CPU are being suck away from the console icon_rolleyes.gif btw how did you place you add fan?

QUOTE(izaman @ Sep 7 2007, 10:07 AM)
rezal, does my xbox become noisy too?
*
Yup of course the fan became more noisy than standard fan. This is because it's now running more faster than original 5 V fan. usually on the normal fan it will run by default at 5V and will change to either 7 or 12V when the sensor detect more hotter temperature inside. But this sensor is proven useless because of the 3ROD problem that we all know. So by modifiying your original fan to being feed directly 12V you can assure all the hot temperature is being suck away from inside the console constantly.. and of course you need a seperator in between the original air ducting to do the job.

Bro silenser..

really appreciate your update my status as I have revive Shamrock and leenaz console... thumbup.gif

Btw all of them.. (Including ghostdevice and me) are currrenly running using additional NOS system laugh.gif . below is the updated picture :

Attached Image

And to make sure the air ventilation is better.. this is done :

Attached Image

Here the solution that will make sure all the evil hot air being sucked from inside the console brows.gif note that the additional fan blow an air directly to the devilish GPU heatsink with the custom air duct running below the dvd rom.

Anyone who wanna do the same just feel free to PM me.. thumbup.gif

12V fan mod and an extra fan mod.
I wouldnt go to that extent but then if it improves the life your box, why not?
Good job doing it! thumbup.gif

thanks bro.. upon my xperiment, I found out the GPU produce lesser heat than usual by adding a dedicated fan into it. And I personnaly think microsoft should do something like this rather than adding xtra heat sink to cooler the GPU chip. Well we all know that 100 degree celcius hot heat sink cannot wistand only by doing passive cooler mode.. that why most of the console only can tahan untill majority 6-7 month.. but that only my opinion though.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah man i also wanna do that hhahahaha, damn cool wei the mod, just like a car's air intake, imagine it done in all real carbon fibre woosh..
*
Basically the modification to make sure the GPU are running on the acceptable heat temperature. Because heat are the main culprit inside our beloved 360.. and caused of that heat can be terrible.. such as mobo bending GPU and CPU dry solder. We need active cooling not just passive cooling which using only a heat sink to cool down 100 degree hot temperature chip. Everyone know that. This is only 1 way of helping to prolong the lifespan of our console and of course to revive any dead 3rod console.

Until Microsoft come out with 60nm GPU chip we will try our best to stay alive with our beloved console ! sweat.gif

Masa Izaman datang tu quicksilv ada datang jugak with her GF. Hmm.. a little bit tricky jugak nak revive console edoras nih but luckly my second tuned (adjusting pressure screw and adding rubber padding) succesfully revive his console. Edoras now officially one of the 360 NOS edition users out there.. tongue.gif

And to lksing78.. your watercooled mod cool man!.. As for your dead console.. as long as no heat gun method being applied onto the console I can always try to revive it.. icon_rolleyes.gif

I appreciate on your statement here..compared with some people whose just complaining on the 3rod problems without even trying to fix it for the second or third time... it's a bit of hassle but that is a disadvantage for not being officially supported here ...Let's finish the fight then...and to rezalid...U r RoCk Big Time....The Most Recommended Fixer Here..... thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

thanks bro for your appreciation.. notworthy.gif

I just trying my best to revive who ever have 3rod but It doesn't mean my NOS mod it's 3rod proof. because it tied together with all the setting like the screw pressure, washer height, shim placement and etc.. I would try to give the best service to all our member here but if the problem still happen again feel free to call me anytime and I will re tune back the mobo.

As for leenaz case, It's confirm after 5 hour + 5 hour stress testing, his 360 have no problem.. suspected something else giving the cause of the problem.. and his case also really diff with other.. he claim while he playing suddenly his 360 OFF by itself and then blinking 3rod. from my xperience.. when 3rod wanna strike your console will hang while playing either with our withour the teeet sound or hang while loading the boot up screen. Anyone here face this same symptom before?

Still wait for him to test it himself at my house until know.. doh.gif mana laa budak ni pegi.. buka puasa sampai tengah malam.. laugh.gif

Currently trying to revive freyria console bud sadly to say his console is having an E74 error code with 1rod symptom. .. Still trying to revive it but this E74 is very famous with really small chances for revival..

To freyria I'm trying my best bro.. but the chances is small.. just wait for my update..
