Engine lugging, somewhat is premature firing so 97 would help la... but then again, just downshift won't need to use 97 tongue.gif.

You downshift in D using paddle shifter before a hard acceleration, right? I tried it just now and seems to work fine, but wanted to double check 😬

How often does it happen to you? Frequently? By right our CVT should have handled this la... not sure why I do experience it but very rare occurences.

Yes, downshift (could be 2 downshifts depending on the ratio).
*
I've only experienced this twice... but it has led to me not daring to push the car as much as I'd like, so I feel if I push the car it may happen a lot more frequently, which is something I don't want to risk also. So I'm in a dilemma right now.

Agreed CVT should've handled this by always making sure we're in the right gear ratio, so it's kinda a disappointment.

I'll try your advice of pumping RON97, downshifting or using S when doing spirited driving, and report back in a few weeks to see if anything's changed bruce.gif thanks for your input/recommendations so far, much appreciated!

11th gen. The H logo is just out of alignment. Not sure if this is even production or another "prototype production"

Lane watch yes, saw several sellers even before FL came. This option is available for the Thailand models previously, I guess that’s where the parts come from.

Ooh yeah you're right https://www.mudah.my/Civic+FC+1+5+TC+Turbo+...ED-84774464.htm

Wondering if it'll void warranty, maybe do after warranty end? Then again it's advertised as plug and play...

Looks like most of us pre-FL will be affected? I have service on 1/6 will check with them then.

Edit: Checking on https://productrecall.honda.com.my/ shows my VIN's not affected... weird.

The product recall page seems like got problem or fake, you try keying in any nonsense also they will reply you not effected. Really TIPU one
*
Maybe if it can't find in a database of affected vehicles it'll say not affected. Curious if others have found theirs to be part of the recall this time.

Yikes. Sorry to hear you’re affected, but thanks for sharing. Looks like not every 2018-2019 is affected.

Part number different for every batch. May be 1 pallet of pump rosak or january consignment batch is defective, hence some car escape.

Please note if you got ur car in 2020/2021, ur car model is still civic 2019  FL. Alot ppl still blur tp this fact.

Makes sense, thanks for the explanation. thumbup.gif Mine hasn't been affected by the 2 recent recalls, one wonders when the time will come soon cry.gif

It will stop when theres no water on your windshield. Basically the speed and how often it wipes is based on the detection level of the sensor you set.

Usually I will switch it off at level 0 because there's once it wiped even when theres a few drops of water on my windshield. Ended up creating marks on the wiindshield due to dryness of the wiper.
*
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but even during rain and I set the wiper to auto at medium sensitivity, it doesn't seem to work very well. Sometimes when a lot of water, it wipes too infrequently; and when not much water, it wipes pulak. ranting.gif

Probably a long shot, but I have a DDPAI dashcam installed to my front windscreen stuck using a 3M tape, but the problem is that the dashcam body itself creaks sometimes under high speed or when going over speed bumps. Are there any DIY tricks I can do so it doesn't creak? It's the dashcam body/casing itself that's creaky

DDPAI Z40. I tried uploading pic from iOS but Pictr said image too big lol. Basically it’s right below our rear view mirror, just stuck on to windscreen using a piece of 3M double sided adhesive

will is the creaks from the base and the unit?

add some light tape to the mount surface, maybe?
*
Seems to be from the unit body itself which is annoying. Some googling around yielded no one else complaining about creaking dash cam maybe I’m just unlucky icon_question.gif

when removed from the mounting plate
can you make it creat by hand

the DIYer in me might try to see if the unit is creaking due to overtightening of plastic casing, maybe

or specific area issue....
*
My dashcam is just stuck onto the tape, no mounting plate... cry.gif the plastic casing is the one that's creaking for sure, when I grip the casing and press lightly I'll hear that stupid creaking sound. But strange no one complained about it before, it's quite well-known among LYN members. Maybe I just got a lemon ranting.gif
