Normal service should be fine. Just leave the car then go QBmall shopping while waiting for your car.
Ha thanks, that's actually not a bad idea. Do you call them to make appointment first?Official Honda Civic 10th Gen Owner/Fans Club V7, 10th Gen Dream Machine

QUOTE(0501024 @ Feb 18 2020, 01:40 PM) pay attention to the alignment after they did. i drove out of the service bay and my steering was facing 2 oclock to go straight. i complained, they said alrdy done, and if want to do again need to queue up again. took it to tyre shop and did alignment, balancing. found out absorber leaking. The alignment was ok for mine but few weeks later there were knocking sounds when going over speed bumps, turned out they didn’t tighten a nut enough so I had to bring it back in for half a day. Now everything seems fine, fingers crossed |

QUOTE(keenhawk @ Feb 19 2020, 02:21 PM) Actually all car manufacturers also have problem. Important thing is after sales service. But steering rack issue quite annoying. The fact that this has been a recurring theme since 2016 is enough evidence that HM don't really care about customers. If they do then they would've made slight revisions to the manufacturing process or design to fix this for say model year 2018 or 2019 |

Does anyone know if I can warm up car using remote start and that's enough to keep battery alive? Or need to actually drive out a couple rounds around the neighborhood?

QUOTE(nlik @ Jan 16 2021, 02:09 PM) a) put in D, Auto brake hold on, then just floor the accelerator pedal? b) put in D, left leg hold the brakes and right leg on the accelerator pedal to a certain RPM. Then let go brakes and dump accelerator pedal all the way down? c) same as b), but instead of 100% down the accel pedal, you gradually press down the accel pedal? d) secret launch control menu? e) some other launch from standstill method? Then, which is faster? launch in S or L mode ? There’s no launch control menu, even the CTR doesn’t have dedicated launch control |

Did anyone install any aftermarket/OEM modules to enable auto wing mirror folding upon locking the car? It's pretty annoying having to fold and unfold manually myself.

QUOTE(matrix88 @ Jan 19 2021, 01:01 AM) Why need to fold very time? Only fold it when necessary or at tight spaces. The module I’m referring to is apparently plug and play, it hooks into the OBD and will auto fold when you lock and unlock, no extra motors I think.I fear the motor or plastic roller / sprocket broken more leh. Not cheap to replace. I want it to auto fold because at condo and also at work the parking spaces are quite tight so I need to fold every time just to be able to get out, hence my question. Shame that pre-FL doesn’t have this feature.. |

QUOTE(mcchin @ Jan 19 2021, 03:02 PM) i seen ppl say the module can kacau the ECU before Not sure, never heard about that before, but my understanding is that Honda consciously omitted the auto-fold module for pre-FL as a cost-saving measure. So by right we should be able to just slot in that same module, though I'm not sure if the aftermarket ones are truly OEM or completely third-party. If it's OEM and is what Honda added to the FL models then it should just work out of the box without fear of causing any weird interferences.but that was like 2018 time maybe nowadays the module is made better quality I'm trying to ask if anyone here has experience with these aftermarket modules, and if they cause any weird issues or not. QUOTE(matrix88 @ Jan 19 2021, 10:09 PM) I am not referring to extra motor, I am referring to the existing motor in your side mirror. Extensive usage might shorten the life of it I've been folding and unfolding manually since I got my car in 2018, so far so good. Because of my circumstance (tight parking space in condo and workplace) I'd rather pay eventually for the motor if it does get jammed up than risk getting my whole mirror knocked off |

Anyone experienced engine click click click 3 times sound when hard accelerating? I noticed the turbo boost gauge was almost full then I heard these 3 clicking sounds, followed by engine losing power. I let off the accelerator pedal then all seemed to be normal again after that. This has happened twice so far.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Mar 7 2021, 04:19 PM) I have encountered this before, but very rarely. Maybe 3 times which I can recall since 2017, mine will have the clicking sound until I release the pedal (but normally I release fast). From the occurences, what I noticed it is always when I'm slowly cruising then I decided to full throttle to overtake or sometimes a bit spirited driving... that's when it happens. Got once was when I'm cruising slowly <2k rpm then I decided to press a bit more upon exiting junction it happened (full loaded car). The circumstances you described match my own experience as well. The first time this happened was when I was trying to overtake, boost built up then somehow felt like the engine couldn’t sustain/“accept” the extra power afforded by the turbo. The second time I had a full car of 5 people and going uphill, and I pressed the accelerator a bit more than usual to go up the incline. I'm guessing its engine lugging perhaps, back then was using RON95 BHP... since 2020... I was using Petronas 97 and when I go for spirited driving either shift S or I paddle downshift, never had this issue since then. Got to admit, the sound... like something clicking below or on the right side of the car... quite scary when it happens. It was very scary for sure. From casual Googling this might be LSPI (low speed pre-ignition) which is a phenomenon affecting modern turbocharged small capacity (2.0L and lower) cars. The only way to really alleviate it is to make sure we use good engine oil (I think this shouldn’t be an issue for our case since most of us bring to HM SC to service), and also it’s not recommended to floor the car at low RPMs. I wonder if anyone else had experienced this before aside from us both, and if HM is aware of this. If it’s something they could replace or fix, I would rather they do it before my warranty ends in 2023 |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Mar 7 2021, 05:05 PM) I’m guessing I need to drive more aggressive so my gearbox would behave more aggressively 🤣. Either way paddle downshift or shifting to S helps me a lot. Makes sense. I'll try using S more often, start pumping 97 for a couple tanks and see how it goes. I didn’t encounter this on 97 either even at times I didn’t downshift. Don’t really know how to replicate it but it’s usually low load then suddenly i floor it 😂 |
