I like their brake pads as i have been using Endless Super Street S-Sport in the past. But it is a very annoying pad to operate for most people.

*
For the road use calipers, wonder whether they tagged the weight specification correctly. The 4 pot actually weighted significantly more than the 6 pot.

Do share your experience on the Endless Super Street S-Sport, and why annoying to most people.

Just another question, for those calipers that tagged by manufacturers to be on the rear, can use it on for the front? (provided can get adapter brackets).

Actually, those chapalang brand silicone wipers sold in tesco are rather good, better than the original factory wipers from my experience.

No, i haven't decided. I am still waiting if the spoon one.

Spoon one is a direct fit while Endless are producing universal calipers.

If you opt for Spoon ones, most of the time even the brake hoses are the same fit and does not require special custom made hoses.

*
Thanks for all the clarifications.

So estimate how much does the spoon caliper set that you desire costs?

Can brake later a bit, can do this and that a bit more. But wasn't entirely happy with the brake master cylinder setup as the piston size was too small and the pedal still felt too spongy for me. Wasn't as satisfied as i expected after all those money.

Before i managed to swap the RBF660 for Castrol React SRF which i already bought to see if it improves pedal feel. Decided to change car. So that was the end of the story.
*
Can swap out the brake master cylinder for something beefier that you prefer? Very likely that the civic will remain civic minded when comes to brakes.

Maybe can ask some mod shops to fashion DIY version of master cylinder bracket instead of searching for aftermarket solutions.

Didn't you consider keeping your old set of brakes to fit in the rear of the civic? Your spoon set from jazz seems pretty high end.

Nowadays they seem to be clamping down on this. Not sure how they track but ultimately all the credit cards is under my name so it figures. Once you buy multiple cards, you might see some getting cancelled. Not sure how they work to analyse the purchase pattern at the back.

Sometimes if lucky can apply coupon code, then can reduce a little bit further somemore.

So, that was why partly i use Petronas. The 10% value is higher than any cashback from credit card. Just that you get your money stuck in their side but it is not like any banks giving a 10% FD anyways. I just buy a few RM450 card every time if i can grab it fast enough and it lasts me for months and sometimes even up to a year.
*
No thanks to Jack Ma's computers in predictive analytics....

Still can get such petrol cards in lazada?

Most likely this is the main reason, unless need to make some weird contraption to support from somewhere making installation too difficult or a pain in the ass to design it.

*
It all boils down to familiarity, skill and balls.

Some months ago i was at genting, saw an almost 20+ year old stock aeroback navigating freakishly fast. My car had larger brakes, wider tyres, almost doubled the power and much more recent, yet i can only eat that driver's dust....

So more practice runs for you thumbsup.gif

Nothing to do with me brah. The car just won't reach the rev limiter. What can i do?
I was chased down by a HR-V as well on one trip going up. I was part throttling it most of the upper half of Genting as my coolant temp was already at 107c.
*
so sad that the car was the limiting factor, not you.....

Wah....if your coolant temp like that even when the ambient temperature was already lower and only part throttle....please fix in the aftermarket intercooler ASAP!!!

Maybe should use the remap with the HRV's transmission map....

Not within my control
It was WOT but after a couple of turns the coolant temp already spiked up. The temp was stable at 107c~108c. Won't go further but a little worrying.

No data log to see if the fan is turned on or not. But being a single fan shroud only setup, it figures. Maybe also the radiator not adequate enough or the fan curve not aggressive enough. Not sure, not a real problem.

Intercooler doesn't cure this problem. But should help keep the charged air cool.
Carbon ceramics FTW
Hey! i drive less. I don't drive unnecessarily. Having a cat doesn't mean you don't do the environment harm.
*
But really wonder whether the temperature reading is correct or where the actual temperature probe was located. But, at 107c-108c range, it is the technical operating temperature of the engine, so likely the real coolant reading should be a little lower....

Boiling point of 50/50 coolant mix is 106.1c at 1 bar, so with normal radiator 1.2 bar radiator cap, max boiling point should be around 135-140c range. But then genting is higher up so air pressure lower, hence will bring the boiling point lower.....looks macam close to the limit but also macam still within safe operating limit....crap i'm lost rclxub.gif

Since you're still here to talk about the ordeal without mentioning your car broke down or something, should be alright i supposed thumbsup.gif

I suppose your next part that you want to swap out is the radiator?? sweat.gif

I am not sure if it is a mixture of altitude, speed, the car going up an incline (air not flowing into radiator opening as well) or it is generally like that.

I don't remember it does that on top speed runs to KLIA. I remember sitting in 190++kph for several minutes and the water didn't spike as high as this. It goes up, but not over 100c which shows that it fluctuates.

The interesting actually is the fact that the temp gauge on the dash doesn't even flinch one bit. I am not sure if it went up by one dot. But, i wasn't able to take notice of it at that time.

No, the car hasn't broke down yet. Did it twice and it was still alive and driving well. Just wondering if they designed it this way or they left room for improvements.

As for radiator, i am eyeing on Koyorad but they have not seem to produce one yet.
*
Or is it due to the downpipe mods brows.gif Stronger exhaust flow, maybe could lead to higher temperatures on the turbo side.

Maybe you could get yourself a cheap OBD ELM reader to data log and analyse your runs.

Fuh...koyorad....

Maybe tambah oil cooler also tongue.gif

Noted because I got it for 2 mths but gotten a big scratch and stone chip which I wanted to touch up but I noticed outside touchup the clear coat is not as smooth as original paint.

Any 4s which you recommend?
*
I propose an alternative solutions. Live with it until cannot tahan, accumulate a little more stone chips for the remaining year/months.

Then go to a body shop, ask them to do touch up + whole car compound+polish+wax. Costs around 400-500, results better than 90% of what surface detailers can offer. After all, body shops are experts in this, so unlikely have much issue when it comes to consistency and finish. They will know how to blend the colour despite the aging effect.

QUOTE(jeremychua @ Jan 25 2019, 10:26 AM)
By any chance, do you know how much is it for bumper?
*
Not exactly accurate, but at least you can have a guide how much it cost through the US website :
https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-list/20...ont-bumper.html

The price quite accurate (+/-15%) when i tried to do a cost estimation on my previous accident compared to insurance billed amount (but my car not honda).

You actually refer to extreme contact sport series right? Ultra Contact just 1 rank above comfort contact within the product range, lower than premium contact or sport contact series.

The order of their product range macam ini :
comfort contact => ultra contact => max contact => premium contact => sport contact => extreme contact

Marketing doesn't need to be logical anyway....consider those advertising on perfumes, totally senseless from logical perspective....

the price is ok considering it is from honda with the workmanship and possible warranty.

QUOTE(Deathscythe@@ @ Jan 26 2019, 10:47 PM)
Yes, these are some of the news I've seen earlier. Is it because of the leather seats ? Or specifically engine? Most of the cases are turbo version. Can use in city is it? Very concern although mine is not white colour.
*
Nope, merely because it is a honda civic. By nature this model is already quite attractive.

The rule of thumb, the higher the RV, the more prone to stealing.

If worry about theft, consider american/french/korean cars. For peace of mind, get korean as quite good reliability yet not attractive to be stolen. My mum's friend say park her sportage without locking also no problem sweat.gif
